  1. Where is you wideband located? If it's in the tail pipe then I've seen plenty between 16-21 on idle. But it's fine when wot. You seem to be testing half a job. Get it all plugged up and any leaks you know of sorted 1st then take it for a drive to test for correct readings. Sent from Dagobah
  2. Check the resistance with an volt meter on ohm setting Sent from Dagobah
  3. On a 95 mk3 golf. I wouldn't expect any such luxury as economy or sport mode. Pic of the switch your referring too?? Sent from Dagobah
  4. Use a wideband afr reader to check fueling via your exhaust. If it's ok then not to worry. If the ecu is not registering a signal from the lambda then it should switch to closed loop and just use the fuel map rather than use the lambda You may find you haven't fitted the correct sensor. Lambda's aren't all the same. You'd need to find the correct matching sensor from oem. Sent from Dagobah
  5. Any way of checking your afr's on cruise?? Sent from Dagobah
  6. Depends on the limits of the block. The machine shop should have all the specs for tolerances regarding minimum thickness for cylinder walls. I don't particularly know the answer. But I would think that as they already do a 2.9. Then boring it out to accommodate larger pistons there by making it a 3.0. This wouldn't be a massive difference in piston size to accommodate 0.1-0.2 increase!!! Sent from Dagobah
  7. Speak to the machine shop doing it. They'll confirm if it's useable. The head will have a minimum thickness before its to thin and will cause the valves to hit pistons. Sent from Dagobah
  8. A properly skimmed head and decked block. With New bolts and gasket will seal correctly if fitted correctly. No need for any kind of sealant. Sent from Dagobah
  9. They may have different threads. But I've not found any car I've worked on to have this. Sent from Dagobah
  10. I'd like to think they are same length or you'd have steering problems!!! Sent from Dagobah
  11. Have tried fitting a stereo in the car today but came across a strange problem. The std harness was connected to a radio harness to plug directly to stereo. But the ignition and power were wired directly to power. I know vw switched the power and ignition from a std setup. But unless the stereo is wired with both going to power only. Then I have nothing. I have tried a volt meter to see what happens on the std harness. But I get nothing when I earth it and turn ignition on. Ideas?? Sent from Dagobah
  12. Think I've found it on a pdf file Sent from Dagobah
  13. I can set it up but want to know std settings for a base setting to start from. Thx Sent from Dagobah
  14. No one have this information?? Sent from Dagobah
