Finally sorted out my new wheels. Zender Sport 15 7J , Just needs a bit more polishing.

I have BMC DIA , same as CDA but made of plastic instead of carbon and so is a bit cheaper. I had an open filter before , if you want good sound , get an open filter. PM if you want it.

I found when i had my open air filter after sitting in traffic engine didnt feel so responsive but now with an enclosed box i dont ever feel a difference.

I feel like saving up and doing a track day or two as well as the pod. Im after some R888 for 15s just wondering where people have found the best prices.

Me + 1 and new wheels -
If your talking about running 6 open trumpets then you wouldnt be able to use a MAF sensor , so you would need an airbox on the unit. Id imagine whichever way you will need a minimun of a remap but best would definatly be use of a standalone ecu.

Can anyone have a guess at what sort of temperature you think the top of the engine would ever get to? Mainly where the plastic cover goes im thinking of replacing it but dont know if i need to use heat sheid between the cam cover.

Id have to chose the S3 over one , comes with 4wd plus i think will be less common. Easily better for looks though.

Hmmm this is a problem as i still have the MK2 indicator stalks ect , I wonder where the button could be lol. -
Cant believe how clean your engine bay is What where the 5 spokes that used to be on your car? Also do you know what width they where?

On my car i have the vr6 golfs clocks swapped into my dash and i just cant work out how to change it to display the other options. At the moment it just displays time and when i push the two buttons it just changes the time.... and the other button just resets and changes between trip. Any help

Last two tanks have got 30 mpg and 22 all A road or around town when not too busy. Will do a MAF clean just to see if it makes any difference.

Well today finally my new air filter has arrived. Before it had this open air filter which although sounded great, got really hot and also was a tad dirty and had picked up oil. So i couldnt quite justify paying the extra 60 quid for the CDA as even on the site it states it has no difference plus the DIA has some red on it which is always a plus. So after a bit of wigglign got it fitted with the extra pipe on the front which now sucks nice cold air from behind the bumper. The cover is off as im having it engraved with a VR6 logo. Also had 2 of my mats done but still have front 2 to do

Got my tickets through today Might aswell have a go at stalling my car on the strip if haribo is on offer. Also coming up on the friday and anytime is good for me, can drive up and meet locally or at services.
