Are mk3 clocks back light? Mine are currently lit by lights in front same as normal mk2 but means i can see f*** all in the dark. Also anyone swapped mk4 clocks into a vr?

You want to base it around the start up amperage can be called the CCA. On halfords site the bosch one it recommends is 600. Ah refers to the amps that can be drained if the car was not on in one hour. Not so important unless you like to leave your lights on. lol

Id imainge you can run it fine but you will have a loss of power to some degree.

Haha yea , im not goint just turbo so to speak. A sort of twin charge set up hopefully. Anyone running any of the china chargers? Having problems finding something for the job but dont want an impeller in my engine.

Good information on the boxes. I want to be able to abuse the car and box otherwise it would always be in the back of my mind. Im aiming to have 8psi boost cut in from 2000 rpm. Still doing a few calculations so not sure if its possible just yet. Thanks again for all of the responses

Thanks a lot for all of the information ! , im aiming for around 300 bhp , i wont be using the exhaust side. Just interested in working out the flow rates. Any idea on what breaks with the gearbox could be good to investigate a few ways to improve the strength of the box. Sounds like what we really need is a traction control device that controls the external wastegate.

Hi Im after around 280-300 mark. Is this possible without the headgasket spacer? I need to do this on the ultra low budget so im going to be using a second hand turbo off of ebay. So any idea what kind of thing i should be looking for. Im guessing T3 series? If anyone is around the 280 mark with a turbo if you could let me know your turbo and psi that would be great as what to see what flow of air i need.

Im not a 100% but , fuel rail pressure should remain constant all of the time. The fuel should be adjusted through your injector opening times. If you flood brand new plugs it can kill them straight away. If you changed your injector size definatly recalculate the opening times. I dont know if its like on megasquirt but on there you can find in your base set up parameters injector size and you can just change it there which automatically changes the rest of your maps but still will need minor adjustment. -
Anyone happen to have a spare intake manifold not fitted to there car they can bring up on the saturday. I just want to take some measurements off it.

Just wondering if both the OBD1 and OBD2 intake manifolds are different or if its just the throttle body ?

With our RWYB time slips is our reaction time counted in the final time? or does it not matter on your reaction time at all?

Do you happen to know if there just one big flap near the throttle body or are there lots of individual ones? Does the car need a remap to get the extra power from it ? Thanks for the info

Just wanted to know a bit more about the unit itself. How does it actually adjust the length of the intake , also does it take signal from rpm?
