    Cheers fellas. Dont want the airbag going off, If nothing else think I'd crap myself with the shock! Remember at motor show years back when airbags first came out they had a demo and even when you stood and watched and knew the bag was coming out, you couldn't help but jump!

    When my elec window goes up or down, it 'clunks' when it stops, guess something is loose but before ripping the door to pieces, anyone got any ideas?

    When I turn the steering wheel, there's a scraping noise just behind it. Sounds like something is stuck in the cowling - not taken that off yet but can't see anything. Anyone had this problem before?

    LMAO! Excellent. Threw a ciggy out of the window of my mk1 some years back (when I still smoked) didn't realise fuel was peeing out of the fuel pump - lucky I didn't go bang!

    Thought I'd treat my new motor to some new wiper blades. Whilst changing the passenger one the wiper arm sprung out of my hand and has smashed the windscreen! :-( How guttted - although I did laugh my (hairy) arse off! gotta see the funny side even if I have been a bit of a nob! Autoglass sorting Wednesday although £75 excess. Priciest set of wipers I've ever bought

    Cheers for the quick reply craggsy The how-to was saying about winding the tension off with an M8 bolt - so do you just wind it back on fully when re-fitting?

    A few noob questions! Just been reading up here on changing the serpentine belt. Wanted to know a couple of things; 1. How do you know how much to tension up the new belt? 2. Do you have to align any pulleys or anything or no need? Hope someone can help, want to get this done at the weekend, mine looks pretty worn Cheers Andy

    Ok, probably a dumb question - but in my defence only got my VR6 Monday and not touched it since ...but, main thing that needs doing is a bit of rust on rear hatch by lower corner of glass. Are the windows bonded? Not sure if to repair or just get a good 2nd hand hatch? Any help and general micky taking accepted
