    Top Gear

Don't you just love top gear! It now feels like a sunday though!

    Oh dear

I think you'd have exchanged numbers, names, addresses etc if there was any damage. Its always easier to laugh at someone elses expense. And it was quite funny! I laughed at Katie when she fell over in the snow. Its just natural. ;-)
  3. Looks really good, proper tidy results! And very motorsport... :-)
  4. Could the hunting be down to you having too low a fuel figure in the cell before the idle cell, if that makes sense?! I.e at 500rpm you have say 0 and at 1000rpm you have 50.
  5. That machine would show a few landy boys up! :-)
  6. Clever, and yes i suppose there are a few 'helps' along the way.
  7. I've got something similar, but not fitted it yet. The 1 i have has a digital temp read out, and the other end of the wire has a temp sensor. I can bring it thurs if you want to have a look mate?
  8. A plane ticket to new zealand today so i can be at my mums wedding and so i can spend christmas and new year with my family. Or 4 tyres for my car. :-)
  9. Personally i wouldn't go too small, i think mine is 300 or 320mm, something like that, so slightly smaller than the standard wheel.
  10. Well i never knew that. It is true that you learn something new every day!

    Rwd

Got there just before me kev! Interesting idea though, and as kev says, why not do it? :-)

It would be easier to move the engine to the rear, and keep it transversely mounted on a mk3 subframe. To keep the engine up front would require modifications to the subframe, bulkhead, tunnel and rear axle mounts, aswell as some sort of custom fab'd rear subframe/axle assembly. I'm not sure on what rear diff you could use, possibly something out of a bmw?
  13. The unanswered post link doesn't work. The computer told me to tell someone, so i have. :-) Just a heads up really!
  14. So if you have a high top van, what are you supposed to do? Even with my van i didn't clear the snow off the roof or bonnet because my hands were frozen after clearing the windows.
  15. Quality job! Never seen a haldexed vento before, think it must be some 'toy', and when charged will make a real track/drag weapon. Great work. :-) And as above^^^^ do you have any issues?
  16. I like this! Sod the polishing mate!
  17. Happy birthday you old man! :-)
  18. See you all at about 12 at ts hq tomorrow!
  19. Wouldn't you need quite a powerfull motor to drive both chargers? And then the motor would need something to power it, which i'm not sure the alternator could cope with? And as ben said, were would you fit 2 chargers?! :-) Cool idea though, would be wicked if it was pulled off!
  20. Nice project! Is that the new k6 emerald ecu you are using? How do you find it? Are you using the r32 t/b?
  21. Ha ha, i did wonder where this was going! But thought it might have had something to do with the 'sailor'. ;-)
  22. It does sound like something to do with your ecu/map. Also, if the ecu doesn't receive the correct voltage it will 'play up'. You could try to see what voltage the ecu is getting when the engine is running. And possibly try another alternator? They can do strange things when they're not working correctly.
  23. blimey you guys will all be half cut by the time I get there !! Hopefully not or we won't make it to the end! We've got a party to go to friday night too, so we're going to be a bit fragile saturday :-)
