  1. Ben, drive southend bound on the a127 , turn off at the a128 junction for brentwood , 1oo yards up slip road is the entrance. i drove past the other day and it looked like an easy one to get wrong. have a butchers on google earth and you will see.

  3. IMPORTANT ! entrance is on slip road to a128, (brentwood turn) . there is a little chef on site which has an ad board a few hundred yards before. but NOT on a127 as maps show but on SLIP ROAD to a128. merry xmas
  4. got over 100 miles done last night, went out at 12.30 am , other than slippy roads, they where nearly empty . still needed hat,scarf n gloves though. brrrrrrrr it was cold. felt real tight with no odd noises, took it to 4ooo rpm for a while and spot on . thought,even in 0 degrees temp,this car handels really really well and enjoyed fingertip roundabouts , til i put the car back in its garage,got into my 1.1 fiesta run-about and was reminded of what a soft ride is all about, lol the oil temp never got above 81 degree`s which i was happy with. and cant wait for my race clutch to calm down a b

  7. cheers steve, havnt seen you for a while,hope alls well. got car back today, did 20 miles but traffic too heavy for my race clutch to keep pulling away in first,rattles the whole car including me will be putting in some more miles tonight.
  8. i bought a set of 4 wheels, to have a front set of stickies (sg`s) for pod times, the other two i want a set of tyres for the ring trip and street play, wondering if hard or medium is best
  9. should be getting car back tommorow,a new front brake calliiper is needed, bought a used set and one is naff, Onwards with the 900 miles left before re-mapping and boosting

  12. i did the google search too, lots of bad but many claims of 4-500 hp working ok. maybe i was lucky though. def agree that you only want to open box up once
  13. hey friend, if you have been round cars for a long time,it is possible to diagnose certain things by ear. dont know if a clutch fitting would damage the gears as they are sealed in ????? but it sounds like a broken tooth in the gearbox moving around and sometimes completley stopping a gear change. if gearboxes are as cheap there, as they are here then just swap them and move on. you could try to solve this opening up the box and replacing whats damaged, but so much quicker to put a replacement on and that will be end of matter.
  14. Jim. have you seen thr obx-r diff on ebay, £299 my car came with one fitted, it never broke with 440hp going through it. only got a peloquin cos it came in the new box i got from sparks.
  15. just saw something on ebay for anyone who has car troubles but still wants to go to the ring. golf r32 for hire @ £330 for a weekend . may come in handy at a later date.
  16. nearly forgot, you will really need an lsd if your going big power ,
