  1. I was going to use these guys in Jan, I havent seen their work, but ive heard they are ok... have a look under the 'contact' page to see if they cover your area.... http://www.archenemy.co.uk/index.htm
  2. This site does original OEM parts, its american but you will get good quality from there as it comes with original guarentees etc... there are a few different colours available too... brushed steel, gun metal, silver etc.... http://www.tmtuning.com/vw/
  3. I run either 30 front / 30 rear, or 32/32, but some people run 30/32, something along those lines is fine... :)
  4. Wow, quite some history with this car then!! Looks real good mate, keep us updated with the build. think its gonna come out real good... love the CC blue... :)
  5. Right guys, I have finally got the summer wheels off and polished up and the winter wheels are on..... My car is VERY dirty so please forgive me (it was cleaned last week) Notice the Ducati .... (also in the sitting room....) lol So my lovely Kerscher wheels are all cleaned, clayed, polished, waxed, gloss sealed and wrapped up for winter.... :)
  6. I like it!! Its very 'you' lol Sounds like its a solid car tho Ben, well done for getting one so quick... :)
  7. that is the part that is a hoax, it wasnt a barn find but a collection that a guy aquired when he used to sell cars in the 70s he still owns the land and the barn and he stored them away as they were the ones he didnt want to sell but he still wants to keep them, The story that someone bought the land and found them is the bit that is untrue. lol
  8. Is your water level low? What is the water temp running at is that normal? Could be heater matrix, thats a dash out job so not the best option... check the 2 hoses that run into the bulk head arent leaking and feel if your footwells are damp too...
  9. Ive got a bmc panel filter on mine, it fits straight into the standard airbox but is better for the car and lasts a lot longer so the extra price is worth it.... Leads, oil filter and fuel filter i use all genuine vw parts, or if your leads are ok i wouldnt worry... you can uprate them but the standard ones do the job fine.... I think the best Coolant to use is G12++ from a VW dealer. I used Carlube brake fluid on mine, seems good. All fairly simple and straightforward to do.... but if you get stuck on anything give us a shout. :)
  10. Yeah i think Shail is right, if its trying to fire up but its not sparking, the main things to check are your coilpack hasnt got cracks that water has got into, also if any water got in where your plug and leads are... if its none of those things let us know...
  11. stupid question but he has put water back in it now yeah? And as above, what happens when you try to start it?
  12. Ok mate, well keep us updated and ive got my fingers crossed for you.. :)
  13. Wow that is insane!!! How much fun does that look?!!?!
  14. Yeah i agree with Craggsy, could be something simple like thermostat, and if i was you i would go to a different garage cuz he sounds like a bell end.
