  1. Haha, thats fine mate... i will get onto the guys i know in the meantime and try and get you some decent prices on the little bits and pieces... then when you're ready just give me a shout and ill try and help you get the cheapest price possible for the best parts... And you should get along to some shows... then you can talk about VRs till your blue in the face and not bore us... i think i bore my boyfriend sometimes... but that's what happens when you get sucked into the dub life... there's no easy escape, but its great!! :)
  2. best bet is to dry it all off and put cardboard underneath, give it half hour then have a look, then you will see exactly where its dripped from and too... then follow it back and you should find the problem... is it ok when you drive it?? no smoke?? Is your heating working?? Water temp showing as normal on the dash??
  3. You may struggle with badges as they are obsolete... i have ways of getting these things though... so if you struggle then let me know and ill try my contacts... VW are ridiculous prices... in my experience with my local dealers is that it tends to be 17 year old bell ends working in there that are too busy play fighting for my liking, so i find it off putting knowing they will be out of sight fiddling with my car... i prefer to go to vw/audi specialists, or i use Tony. The care taken is a lot better by people who actually are into the dub scene... this i have seen and im very particular abou
  4. oh and here's tony's link so you can pm him... http://vr6oc.com/user.php?id.5258
  5. Thats fairly good then to be honest... the last 6 things you can ignore really, unless you want them.... as for rest it is all quite expected really... if you're wanting to do the clutch, gearbox and steering rack then have a word with Tony... he's great and he'll sort you out for a good price... also this is the point you really want to become a premium member.... you get discounts off loads!! If Kent isnt too far for you i would say get Tony to sort you out with fitting your bits, and if you're a premium member you will save between 10 and 40% on some of the bits you need from our supplier
  6. Ill prob go along to the British superbikes at brands or snetterton later on in the year, got some catching up to do in the paddock, around july/aug time... dunno if any of you guys are into bikes, but its flapping exciting!!
  7. Can i confirm guys that we're now meeting on the 20th which is the Saturday and what time do people want to meet??
  8. Please see the Gaz site to make sure you are happy... http://www.gaz-shocks.co.uk/product.html Basically one of the premium membership benefits is 15% off Gaz Shocks with one of their main distributers.... i will give you the details of the guy to call and he takes your spec and they get made for you... (this is because you can chose your spring load rate etc.. or just go with the standard) so they can take 2 weeks for delivery. The guy you speak to is actually the Gaz technical help guy that you get if you phone their helpline so he is clued up, any info you need to know before buying just
  9. Its the FKs that are renound for seazing up or leaking after a couple of years... not heard much about KWs and any problems.
  10. Bloody hell... this car really is gorgeous, nice to see someone putting in so much time and effort... great work!

  14. Well if you become a premium member i can get you Gaz GHAs for close to £500 inc vat & delivery... thats about £60 cheaper than anywhere else and a great price for a great kit... but that is something i can only offer out to premium members... one of many benefits...
  15. ahhh... then its not the switch... what a bugger.... might be the motor then, what about the sunroof general, have you given it all a good clean?? unplugging any plgs and replugging it... all worth a go before ripping the motor out... a good smack often helps to shake things into action too
  16. No seriously have you tried removing the switch and cleaning it? What happens when you leave it open and try shutting it using the key?? does it work ok then?? if so its def the switch.
  17. im guessing its got something to do with electrics.... wires n that... :) lol
  18. Hi Dave This will all come down to opinions and im sure you will get different answers, but from my experience, i found coilovers to be as good as the ride on springs... i have the Gaz GHA coilover kit... which although expensive its worth the money, the are fully adjustable (and if you become a premium member you get 15% off them with one of their suppliers!!) worth becoming a premium member anway as we get great discounts with suppliers of all sorts and you will find you get more than your money back on suspension alone! I had springs on my last car and coilovers on this, and everyone comm
  19. Cheeky bugger! Honestly mate if i had the time i would, havent even cleaned mine for a month!!
  20. To be honest, that is really as far as you can go without going FI. You can only really get around 210 - 220bhp max out of a standard vr, to go the next step you would need to get a charger or turbo, then you're looking at 270bhp and up but then you're talking a lot of money too...
  21. Looks really good mate, i would bloody love to do that to mine!! So worth it!
