  1. i just seen these on ebay. Would these fit straight on? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190298463893&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123
  2. I did mine in the week with a £6 tin of halfords high temp engine enamel paint' date=' 2 thin coats and a 3rd thicker one that could be left to flow itself out smooth. Well please with them [/quote'] what colour were they before? the standard vr6 calipers?
  3. yeh don't like doing it myself though..as the finish is never as good as the OEM finish.
  4. yeh probably been around there few times. You sold your vr?
  5. damn..il stick to 312mm then. I want some with red calipers. Are audi TT and Golf Mk4 Anni the only 312mm with red calipers? Which other cars setup could i use?
  6. Has anybody on here ever bought these? They look the business. Wondering whether they'd fit behind my kerschers. http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?html=info-Braking-Stage2v1.html&make=Volkswagen&model=Golf%20III&submodel=&engine=VR6%2012v
  7. looks mint...got all the gadgets. where about you from birmingham?
  8. even a v8 don't sound as good imo. A perfect example..go and hear the sound of a E46 M3 next to the E92 M3. The E92 just sounds more smoother/quieter whereas the E46 has more of a grunt!
  9. If its a cone filter e.g K&N - wash it and get some of that detergent spray you can buy from Halfords and spray it on. But iv got a BMC kit..so i just use the cleaning kit which BMC have provided.
  10. yeh fully-synethic is better for newer cars. As vr6's are old cars..semi-synthetic is the better oil. Using fully synthetic could clean up the engine to an extent where it will remove some clogged up debris which would result in leaking oil! Just stick with the quantum silver oil from VW.
  11. you are... shouldv'e got semi synthetic! haha
  12. ping it. used to work when i played games at college lol. im not sure if it still works..worth a try though. click on that..see if it works. http://209.17.70.11/
  13. lol don't worry you ain't the only one! Iv spent £000's and that's without going FI. I was also 19 when i bought my vr. And i still love my VR..and will continue to spend my money on her. But hey thats what student loans are for
  14. Yeh the FK highsports are same as mine but not stainless steel. Thats the main reason why i bought the silverlines..as i heard they are alot more durable. See how they go.
  15. Im running FK silverlines (stainless steel & only height adjustable). They are suprisingly soft but at the same time decent around bends when racing (not the best). But they are perfect for me because i use the car daily. If i was to purchase coilies again, i'd get the FK silverline X's (damping adjustable aswell).
  16. lol..no it's all about the 8v torque around town!

    vr6 manual

hi. wondering what's the best vr6 manual, mainly for engine work i.e. removing and refitting cams, chains, head, etc. iv heard bentleys manual is supposed to be good. where can you get that from? there also a few on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=350183053189 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=370130913500 anyone got any of these?
  19. exactly..would do most peoples nut in!
  20. ah ok !!! although as I am running the Z Engineering one the oil is all self contained in the charger unit *-) You lucky bugga..you got the later generation charger! The one i had bought was the early generation ceramic bearing charger, which are very unrealiable and had many problems therefore i didn't go through with the deal. Im saving for a turbo now anyway. Just waiting for C2 motorsports to realease their kit to see what they got on offer. In regards to the post..the eaton charger have supposedly better low down power..but more difficult to install as not many people have done it. Sou
