I'd love to go... but like Vdub girl need to do £££ check first. My Wedding next month 6th Dec ( shi**ing a brick !) then Honey Moon xmas day ... the Golf needs overhaul jan feb so it will be touch and go if it's ready or not...

just looked on the GSF site ( new improved one ) can't see the bugger listed ... want to take advantage of the 10% discount have the part ready for when i take it to my local service guy..

As the title says where's the best place to buy a new unit mine's def been diagnosed now as the faulty bit believe the seals have gone. Euro car parts want nearly £80 plus VAT GSF don't list it ... Any help here peeps ?? ta

Right my leak is def not the leak people have mentioned i.e all over the serpentine belt... I have a picture now which shows where the pink coolant is leaking from ... -

Right have i missed a trick here ? what are the part numbers for the 4 motion water pump ? (assume it will fit straight on to the VR6 OBD1 i have ?? ) and what is the part number for the Aux water pump ??? i will replace both and think i may as well got for some nice silicone hoses at same time ... Gents cost for sdaid items please ????? Anyone ????

Is the pump your on about located at the front of the engine just under the head in front of the Rad ? ... Just curious as mine's leaking coolant and water i tink at the pump or pipe where it enters the block... Could we have the same problem ??? Let me know if u sort it ? As i was wondering the same as u if it was the seals on the pump or pipe etc....

Guys i've noticed the same thing on my 95 VR. Plus i have an additional query ! It's going through coolant like a whore on crack ! I've noticed what i think is the pump leaking pink coolant ... so i filled up the coolant pot with fluid turned ignition on but not the engine turning over so it pumped fluid around and noticed it's leaking ... is the part expensive ??? looks tricky and fiddly to change ?

I couldn't find a good adheasive to stick it with ... I went to flooring shops and B&Q and got floor tile adheasive as i read that in Performance VW mag that this is what was used.... I followed the step by setp instructions i got off google but it never stuck so i ended up having to use PVA and silcone and no more nails to get it stuck ... the material just wouldn't fit the contours right even though it was a very thin stretchy material ... It just looks a mess now and want it sorted ... Can i just go out and buy a new headling from VW for my MK3 ???

Hey guys & Ladies ... Made a massive balls up of re trimming the headliner for my Mk3 in a black faux leather stretchy material... how can i fix it ??? Should i just send it to a coach trimmer and have done with it ??? If so any idea of the kind of cost i should be prep for ??? Cheers Mike

I tried the head liner retrim myself ... big mistrake it was in a stretchy faux leather material ... lets just say it looks a mess. get a professional to do it for you !

Thanks, Really dumb question but what's a syncro ?? Would i have to update the engine management, loom or any thing ?? What about the width of the track ??? or gear box ???
