Thanks Ollie... took door cards off to get the remainder of plastic flocked and had a nosey at the door handles from the indside,,, From the looks of things i am fairly sure that Not only Polo handles will fit but sure that the older shape Leon handles will go on too,,,,

From the top of my head they would only cost around £80 at exchange rate prices then add another £40 shipping £120 all in ,,, pricey .. surely they got to weigh less than stock mirrors ????

Only got a fleeting glance mate the engine note was very tight and sweet def tuned exhaust note was just right unmistakibly VR6 .. When pennies allow another meet should be on Broke now til after the 30th... I'll justbuy the wife a few less xmas presents & birthday pressies ... i mean who the hell has a birthday 4 days before xmas ... !!! Greedy

Anyone know who this was ? Purple or Dark Blue VR6 had rat look body work one red steel rim was very loud but sweet sounding car... Me and the Mrs were at the Reebok last night seeing that New Moon ( crap did i say that lol ?? ) would be interested to see what it was runing or if it was a VR6 member ...

Just put in F1 mirrors VW in ebay.com and they will pop up there are several different sellers but al appear to be made by TCS with dedicated base plates...

Just wondering if anyone has got some of these mirrors from ebay.com in the states they look good quality and not too pricey ... Any useful feedback would be good as thinking of getting some soon ? Ta

2 min job ? more like half hour job in good warm weather !! It's freezing & wet ooop north the bleeding plastic scuttle is stuck fast and the ECU is held in with a rusted nut and metal brace to stop it moving.... So it's a long tricky job in the conditions ...

Right problem i have is i need the ECU number from my OBD1 1995 M reg VR6. I have checked the service book and other area's i can't find the ECU's number... I've also lifted up the plastic scuttle pannel to look at the ECU but there's no printed info on the ECU .. I'm buggered if i can find it elsewhere app it is meant to be on any other diagnostic equipment on the car.. Short of removing the plastic scuttle pannel then removing the the ECU and finding it on the underside of the ECU how the hell do i get it !! ???? P.s I have a AAA engine code that much i do know !

I traced the wife's leak to incorrect re fit of the gutter tray after major service the num nuts at locak VW garage didn't put the rubber flashing in the right place !!! hence water in through the heater....

Swung by there at about 16:10 hrs no one there was dry as a bone ! didn't see anyone there in the Pub car park or the retail park... DANH def yeah come rain or shine next sunday 3pm it's booked ( unless wigan have a match on !! as i've got a ticket to the nxt few games !! ) ..
