  1. Yes i do i did the smae when taking my dash out to get it all flocked,,, The steering wheel ribbon for the air bag tucks under the steering plastic cowling .. WHAT EVER YOU DO NOT TUG IT !!! they are pretty fragile there basically copper ribbon ... It should be still plugged in at the steering column atthe bottom and slightly to the left... remember to take the plastic cowling off first. It should just ease out so that it can plug into the steering wheel... Then... there's another similar ribbon that attaches the actual airbag to the steering wheel... The pins on the ribbons and plastic con

  8. Reading the blurb it has a valve at the neck to restrict flow ... i think that must b how it does it ??
  9. Hey just want some opinions on this exhaust... I'm on a tight budget and these are up for sale for £129 on Demon Tweeks looking at a twin tip box. Like the idea i can adjust the noise level if i should do a track day. Does anyone have reviews good or bad on this ? Think this is how it is suppossed to work !!! Thanks Mike
  10. Well if you know what structural damage has been done when you get the chap to look it over then maybe go from there ? if i don't sell the bonnet and bumper like i said i'd gladly donate them to the cause ... If there's beer involved ! Why not start up a list of the things needed to get it running then check off any donations to the cause ?? Just an idea...

  13. I'd steer clear of alcantara... only because some of the drainage pipes run through the roof section and if they go or the seals bust then it'll stain .. I used black leather/ or faux leatherette wipes clean and kind of matched the black leather seats... but i'd be interested to see what you come up with !!!
  14. If it's your first tiem that's an ace idea .... although if i was to do mine again at least i know what i am doing now... I was a bit ambitous and shaved the grab handle reccesses away as i figured getting the material to follow the hollows would be a night mare.... what are you having it covered in ???
  15. They are theny same .... re trimmed mine it was a bastard to do and get right with the leather i used. depends what ypur covering it in and what ever u do ... DO NOT press or kneel on the headliner the foam depresses and doesn't reform then u get dents in the lining !!! Schoolboy error ... and use evo stick from B&Q the heavy duty stuff... simple spray on adhesive isn't strong enough.
  16. I had this problem when i took my dash out and air bags... you have to be so careful with the air bag ribbon that is around the steering wheel.. i never figured how to fix mine as the conector snapped keeping it secure to the back of the air bag.. Solution ?? I bought a dashboard blank that didn't have the warning lights so it will pass the MOT.
  17. May i wade in ? As a former professional sportsman ( in my teens !! ) Doing any sort of sport was intially fun ( i was never any good at anything else) and as i was good enough to get sponorship and money for doing it even better !!! ... i retired at 21 due to injury but had great time spending the dosh i got out partying nice clothes etc... Athletics didn't pay as much as footballers get but here in lies the problem. A sportsmans life is genrally a lot shorter than say a nurses career.. so in some way they are justifyibly paid more they do have over heads too, employ agents and alike. However
  18. Looks like tosh to me i'm in a WA3 area and only pay £240 fully comp on my VR and i'm only 32 still young enough to do something pretty stupid but wise enough to know how to get out of the sticky situation !
  19. Shame to hear about this sort of thing happening ... As a rule of thumb ( my own personal experience and by no means applied to everyone in the Club ) i don't buy parts if they have made only a few posts ...

  22. My mate is lending me his air compressor next week so i was going to sand blast the wheels same process i assume mask off etc sand fill and pits then paint ??? from what i can see it's quicker than waiting for the nitromors to burn off the crud and less messy too,,, P.s doing ot to my BBS rims as the TT's might get shagged in this weather ,
