Fuel Saving device for our Vr's?
ben_notts replied to amazak's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
after reading that it seems that all it does is ionise the fuel particles?? surely for better combustion it would need to be finely misted in area and not particle arrangement? why not buy one and do a review -
i can also vouch for the jetex - ive got cat back and its real subtle but sounds great when the toe goes down!

still waiting for mine to come back from the body shop. need to smoth off the number plate recess too and mount it lower on the left has anyone got any pics of that??

just to confirm they were a failure and luckily i had found my stock plates and had chucked them in the boot.

hey youve got a green more door like mine! id keep trolling the for sale sections as at the minute theres some adjustable coilovers for a decent price - and ive got a K+N panel filter for sale too if ur interested. what ive found is that people on here are generally a friendly bunch and if youve got any Q's or wanna buy something for your car the chances are someone on here will know or have what you need - well thats in my experience!

i called my mechanic as my mot had slipped my mind and he called my back 5 mins later saying he could do it tomorrow am but now ive just remembered that ive got german Euro plates on and i cant remember where the proper ones are. does anyone know if this will be an MOT failure as they have the D euro badge too not the uk sign and ive heard of other dubbers round notts getting pulled for them :S sorry if this is dumb but i just wanna check to save hassle tomorrow!

is there a guide to remove that canister and what does it do before i remove it!!

i thought that thread was for the non AC models?! surely if you squash the ducting underneath youre throttling down the flow? ideally its all about a scoop on the wing but thatll cost a fortune.

Lowering mk3 vr6 without crushing the exhaust?
ben_notts replied to NEILX5's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
i had it with my jetex box - it just needed a bit of a re-jig after it was dropped. the grommet thing does work as i did that for a bit on my old golf but like 2pints said they do burn off so you do need to swap them! -
.....regretting buying shocks and springs now.......

thats nuts - it looks awesome but i bet its a pig to drive - or at least it would be where im from cos most of the roads are cack! does anyone know if they would still rub if you only had a 40mm drop and 195's streched on them? -
hey ive just got a ducted carbon can - the ram air one - and ive fitted the can no problem, but i have an OBD2 with A/c so the stupid compressor sits right in the way of where i need to duct it. At the minute ive just clipped it off to where the stock scoop sat in the wing but theres surely a solution to ducting it so i do get decent induction - also is there any point / gains to be had from replacing the breather from the maf to the inlet manifold EG bigger bore/ smoother bend without the corrugation as loadsa supra's / JAP tuner vids ive seen have a full system to the inlet manifold not just

i ran 17's on a 40 drop with a 45 tyre profile and it felt rough. saying that most of notts is speed bumped so id never run that setup again. im still on the stock BBS and love the combo with a 35mm drop as i feel both the handling improvements but retain the comfort for the dreaded bumps. im looking to go upto 16's when i find a set that im feeling but im probs gonna buy a charger first! it depends what your really goin for, i mean 18's are huge in the arches and do look flashy but your defo gonna notice the knock back on ride quality. if your dead set on them go for it, you can always ebay t

links to the site where you lot are taliking about would be very helpful cos im getting all excited about charging mine! also what about the dreaded insurance hike .... 'any mods sir......' ''errrrrm a stonking great big supercharger' 'right ill just push the the double it buton on my pc' also like ciaran said, whats the deal with brakes etc will i have to go 312mm or is it ok to run 288 drilled and vented all round?

sounds like they are having your pants down mate if its just a box you want out you could remove the straight box and just have a straight pipe on sleeves or even have flanges welded + a de-cat at the same time - id go to some where and see if theyll fit you in cash after 5pm - i know some guys at mr tyre who sort me out like that.
