  1. pics a promised dash out .. front end off ... SP 263 cams fitted Schrick mani fitted and wired and vac lines fitted oil temp and pressure senders fitted and wired in and dash back in ..
  2. i hear my name again lol .... and yes to convert to obd2 ull need a complete loom from fuse board out to engine and engine loom, throttle body,manifold,ECU which the imoblizer will need removin from, possible maf, lamda probe and the fan control box under the expasion tank as i have just found out ... but be wear its not as easy as swap one loom for the other as the abs is different and ull need to remove some wiring from the old loom and intergrate it into the new loom

    no the top chain wont need to come off the intermediate sprocket .. can fitt new lifters if they are a bit noisy but up to u as for valves standard will be fine mate

    yeah there is a key way on the chain gear end and u wont need to keep the tensoin on the lower chain as u wont be be touchin it when u take the top chain off just cable tie it up somewhere and u should be ok
  5. just replace the oil pressure sensor mate they normal let the oil throu the sensor its self .... as for the coolant temp sensor just ask at vw they sould know from ur chassis number
  6. rocker cover u need to remove the intake mainfold and remove rocker cover replace seal and put all back toghter as for the sump drain oil remove sump, mite not have a seal mite just be sealant if it it use the vw white stuff as normal silcone wot last very long as i found out .... both pretty silmpy jobs to do take u about morning ...

    if ur not goin Fi then i say 268s will give u a slighty lumpy idle but it not that bad soul-2-soul has them and oille thas them give good performance .... and take 2 maybe 3 hours to do .... timing aint a prob aslong as u use the tool or simlar

  11. i have only fitted 2 turbos while at jeep and they were on cars we had never seen b4 and well over 100k ... but tbh turbos as longs ther eis no excessive play in shaft and has the corret oil feed and return then they will go for ages ... except if a bit of crap gets in the intake side and buggers it up ....
  12. see this all the time at work can have two cars the same take the two jeeps i had in this week both grand cherokees 3.0 v6 crd`s on 05 plates, one had about 25k and the other had 90+k on the clock one drove like a dream and one was a bucket of *** .... one had been serviced on the mileage with out fail and wanted for nothing and the other i done the 2nd service on it .... and guess wot the high mileage one was the better one of the two .... so imop as along as its been serived and well looked after id have a high mileage car ...

  20. well today was one of the best days i have had for a very long time, found out that i got the job i went for last week i leave whitehouse where i am now end of jan to start at a new garage start of feb, its a new garage just down the road from him anout 10 mins by car or can ride there in summer over the fields lol .... working with a very good mate of mine again we worked together at BMW and VW, the garage is brand new all new gear ramps comperssor etc etc, all makes and modles, any job undertaken nothing to small or too big, the company opening and funding the garage is called catch 22, the
