    i had a problem last week with the idle controll volve on my vr it wouldnt tick over and kept stalling, i plugged it in and it came up with the error code 00533 idle controll volve out of tollerence, so i removed the throttle body clean it out and refitted it, and and i thought i had fixed it as it said out of tollerencies, it solved the problem the vr ticked over fine as usual, but then yesterday and today its been reving up to 2k on tick over for a bit then drops down to 1k then back up then it will stay at 2k for a bit then drop back down to normal ? so does any one no wats going on *-)

    all sorted now jus fixed on my dinner time, took it off cleaned it all out refitted it and jobs a gooden

    iv phoned psi tunning today they said on the later electric motor tyep throttle bodys that they get a build up of shit in em and it carnt calibrate its self properly thats wat the fault code was saying the throttle idle control sensor oit of tollerences , so alls i need do is take it off anf clean it up

    mine aint a high line either but mines better speced all the toys inc climatronic, i thought vw did this to all the later P-R reg ones to get rid of em ready for the release of the mk4 ?

    well i whent to move me car at work today and it didnt feel right when it was ticking over so i thought nothing of it and put it back where it was until home time, came to start me car and it would start at all, had a quick look under the bonnet and found that my breather pipe on the back of the rocker cover had broken off so i removed it and replaced it with a bit of rubber pipe and blocked up the vacume pipe and tryed it again , still no luck, so i whent and got our tech2 and plugged it in and it threw up erroe code 00533 air idle controll volve and 00258 (i think) controll valve relay, so i

    well i got a new job and earned alot more money than i used 2 , so i saved up 3k and had a look at wat i could afford but wat ever it was i wanted it to be the top spec or as some would say the DADDY, i had owned a mk3 before but only a 1.4 but iv allways liked the way that they look so i when and looked at a blue cc 16v but i thought it was over priced, so i scanned auto trader and saw a vr6 golf advertised as a high line with all the toys, so i whent and had a look it was up for 3.5k fsh etc etc , but when i got there it was a late mystic blue with the beaver leather so first ting i said its

    its the shitty spot welds on the pedal mines tip top now better then when it came out the factory

    i jus cleaned it up and welded it back on but i did a complete run round it not jus a few spot welds its as good as new now if not better, and yea i took the pedal off all to gether it was a bitch ti put back on thigh cuz the shaft movd so i couldnt get the snap ring back on but i sorted it in the end

    iv got a semi 10w40 diesel oil in mine at the min ill run it for 3k with this in then go back to normal fuchs 10w40 i do this because the diesel oil has detergents in it and with it been over 100k i thought it might do it some good ?

    where the bonnet its self attaches to the hinges if you put the washers inbetween them then they will push the back end of it up when it is cosed. mind i aint looked at mine yet so if they mount on the side then its caint be done

    i have been told this too that there is a major crack down on german style pates, but lookin at yours MJ the spacing does look a little odd probably cuz its 11', i have em fitted to mine but only on the front and i had GB instead of D i havent had any problems with it yet

    jus stick some washers on the rear bolts on the bonnet hinges but tbh it does look abit daft unless its turbo'd then its dont for a reason to let the hot air escape from the engin bay
