What a top weekend guys and girls, was nice to finally put a name to all those (screen)names! Also thank you all for being so welcoming as this was my first meet, felt one of the "team" by the the end of sunday! Only thing i would have changed is; sun screen!! 5. That little birdie is most certainly correct! Well to an extent anyway, not entirely sure i actually need VAGCOM but would like to have it run through just for the crack. Basically there are no obvious errors so if thats all it picks up then there is no need. If it picks up more stealthy problems or even 1st signs of things possibly going wrong then that would be helpful! I know f*ck all about VAGCOM so i'll leave it in your judgement whether i need it or not!
  6. I would if I could afford the petrol down there...LOL!! Nah' date=' way too far away for me but hoping to make it to Tatton Park next w/e! [/quote'] What a pathetic excuse!!! i'm driving all the way down to Billing from Carlisle!!! Generally put aside £150 for petrol for the weekend!
  7. Loads of love amongst this forum! dont think i know a more friendly site.
  8. Haha noooooooooo i dont own six!!! lmao!! thats what i call her! "The 6"! "Golf" is too plain, "VR" is too much effort so "six" seems perfect! lol
  9. Weeeell i dropped out of uni 2yrs ago after being there and being skint for 2yrs! i moved back home and found my little sister had been driving up and down my lane in my E reg Polo.......... and broke it I used the last of my student loan and bought a mk5 Fiesta. Eventually i decided i needed more then 1.25litres so swapped the engine and dropped in a 1.6 Zetec S engine (got it on loan for length of ownership of car for £50 from a mate!). I soon got bored of the Fiesta and started dreaming of buying a better car. It was a mate of mine who owned a couple of Rado's (one being the infamous Max

  11. Well y not? what are you going to lose by having one?! I got the Shell Drivers Club card cos i only use V-Power and at £1+ a litre i want somethin in return! All though the actually money off fuel offer is sh*te so i opted for AirMiles. Should be flying round the world this time next year with the amount of petrol i'm going through! But like its been said, its all about Smiles per gallon, not Miles per gallon!
  12. Yer man, mines not a highline but got full heated beaver leather interior and its gorgeous Mystic Blue which a highline couldnt be bought in so i get the best of both worlds!! The only thing i havent got is A/C but i got windows, air vents and a sun roof and means i carry less weight so who cares! lol
  13. Sounds to me like a very well kitted out standard VR. But nowt wrong with that!! In fact i think they make for better cars..... for no particular reason other then thats exactly what mine is lol!

  15. Would def. be up for Cheshire but not Worcester just due to distance.
  16. I just got mine changed through Autoglass. I told them the make, model and year and they ordered in the screen. I enquired about having one fitted with the blue strip but decided against it as it made the car look dated. Apparently there are two types of plain clear screen for the VR. The difference lies in the mouting of the rear-view mirror. I didnt know this until the bloke i was making my appointment with asked me how far from the top of the screen the mirror was mounted. After finding the right screen and ordering it they came to work and fitted it all for £60! That was through my insur
