  3. there were a couple knocking about stockport, 1 blue 1 green, i remember seeing them and an audi getting thrashed. i know all the ford and BMW kit have a magic hand waved over them as i know a mechanic from each garage. would be nice to have a go in one with the blue's n two's on

  7. mine has decided to let all the water out through the pump as im putting it in. not good. i'll do it myself but im not happy with the driveshafts bit, truth be told i didnt really consider it. do you have to guide them back in or will they be ok if its jacked just enough? sorry if it seems ive hi-jacked, dont see the point in starting a new thread when there is already enough info here

  10. all sorted, no more tears! wasn't the gasket, flat spot was due to a break in a wipe, and the throttle body needed a wipe inside. 1 diagnostics later and its spot on. just need to flush and change coolant and see how it goes *relief* lol!
  11. sounds like a bargain. i've not thought about that option. mines done 130k, and was sweet as a nut until it developed a flat spot. knew it was head gasket as soon as i checked the water, had 1 of 2 cossies go, and a rover 3 times. lucky old me!! ha ha
  12. its gone, but its not that bad if you know what i mean. no clouds, just frothy water, well whats left of it anyway. how difficult to replace? any ideas? if not, has anyone ever had a price for replacing it? the oil is mixing with the water, the oil is fine just a little less of it in the sump, had a new thermostat last year, and not over heated, thank the fella upstairs. cheers

  15. mine failed, and the wheel melted to nothing. bought a new part from GSF £64, and i didn't think replacing it would be so easy! the difficult part is replacing the belt, getting the old one through the small of the inner wing and bottom pulley, but all in all took me about 3/4 hour to do. job's a good'un!
  16. i might do that with mine, but then ive got no exhaust until its gone and i've got another one
