As with all these things you can go as big as you want...but 350-400bhp seems a common level. I am sure Sparkz will confirm but I wouldn't expect much change from £3k for that kinda power. However, again it depends how far you go. The kit fitting is a weekends work but its the other stuff, if you have to do engine work then that will extend it just like exhaust and rolling road etc...

This is not an invitation to the ladies for comment we all know the answer... (%) (f) :-p I was watching 5th Gear when he was in the supermarket car park checking peoples levels and then had a conversation with a knowledgable mate. It has left us not knowing the correct answer... So here we go?? How to check your oil??? Now I know this sounds daft but there are points for both sides of the discussion... Hot oil? Cold Oil? and When to take your dipstick reading? SO whats the correct way of and/or whats the VR6 way????

you can leave the high flow injectors out until the remap. cuts sown on the over fueling issue. so don't boot it until its mapped/run in ... Worth double checking your Lambda and Plugs are all good/new before the remap.

do we have a menu yet to get the juices flowing...
-
yeah fuel needs to be done before the remap otherwise you could end up over pressure/ worst case.. worth having some engine cleaner or the likes to make it/the bay look pretttttyyyyy

engine mounts to add and discuss.... VT are the origional option and they suggest the following:- "got my quote from Vibra and their recomendations were as follows for my charges car with the stainless 6-branch mani: "We make both Fast Road and Competition mounts but some people prefer to use Comp mounts on the road - and put up with the extra harshness. However what we have found is that VR6 is not too harsh with a Comp front mount. Stealth regularly fit Comp front mounts to VR6's. Therefore we would suggest using a Comp front mount (especially in view of the mod you are intending to carry ou

if you pay the £15 membership you'll get 15% off most things... As said most use VT ones. Also if you join you'll get access to thepart numbers etc. Worth thinking about as they can induce noice and harshness in to the car depending which ones you make fixed. People discuss the mount on the sub frame and box....

This stems from me having a rice rocket as a daily. (No haters please) For example I was sat on my way home tonight and I see a white mk2 vr6 pass straight in front of me. ( I was at m40 jnct High wycombe in case you're on here) and I wave/flash the lights. The chap looked at me/ through me and went on his way. Now he wasnt rude or anything and was busy driving. But it raises the question: how do you folks do it when not in a dub???? Cheers

ok so your mechanic friend isn't completely on form there. I asume you are running a daily rather than a chromed show piece.... If it is stainless then then rust doesnt come in to the game. yes the wrap will hold water but when your running at those kind of temperatures it doesnt stay wet for long especially if you are Forced Induction... The main reason for keeping the heat away is so that the propgated heat levels which are higher due to the conductivity of the stainless means that the engine bay heats up and thus does two things. Reduces the density of your air. More so without the cold a

[poll] Where will moneybag$ Man City finish this season?
rodney replied to goonersteve's topic in General Chat
no where just because you have players doesnt make a team. It will be a late run mid season on over once they learn to play with all those individuals... -
Alignment is very important and it all has an effect. If you think of it as a rear whell drive... if the set up isnt plumb straight then you will kill the rear diff.... so yeah always possible.. I would have expected a shaft to go first. If you had already replaced them then yeah it makes sense as the forces are still on the diff. So over a larger period of time you would see wear on the pressure points or the weakest link would go if not oiled or running more heat if you see what i mean..... Hope it helps the thought process..

My VR6 turbo, Haldex 4wd. The end....
rodney replied to legvw's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
nice work... If I may just add a little food for thought as you're doing it yourself... not teaching you to suck eggs here..... If you can keep any individual bend below 30 degrees then the flow will improve quite a great deal. Also minimise welds as they form internally as well so unless you can get in to grind them off as you go... Though there is an argument that it helps the pulse waveforms flow. Also if you match the lengths on both then apart from stabilisg pressure it should help equalise the flow into the cylinders that always get slightly restricted flow on standard systems... T -
as with all these things if you need more you need more. but you are making a step up into the greather field of modifications when you go to stage 3.... if you join up as a premium member there a some threads on this... membership is £15 and you'll save that on your insurance with the 15% discounts...
-
dont mean to be rude here fella and welcome in advance to the FI world..... there are how to guides in the premium sections with loads of information on what you do and dont need to do and how far you can go safely. turbo or charger which cams clutches and pipes etc etc etc it'll cost you £15 but you'll save that on the parts and insurance in a blink... there are few of us who have done this and are as happy as a pig.... have a read then pop back up
