Im not sure what oil was in it but i put in Castrol GTX Magnatec as it was sunday night and the only place open was Halfords and i needed to go out. I have heard that the Sintra Silver is the stuff to use? Surely the Castrol stuff is pretty good though? Any reason why they use that much oil or is it just due to enthusiastic driving?

I had Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's on my last car (Pug 306) and they were spot on rain or shine. So much grip it was sily! Oh yeah and they last well too!

The vr was serviced just before i got it 6 weeks ago so the oil should of been at maximum but when i checked it yesterday it was on minimum which surprised me a bit. Any reason for this or do they use alot of oil anyway. Theres no oil leaks and its only on 66k, doesn't smoke or anything and sounds fine :s Cheers

Am i right in thinking that an optional extra on the vr6 was a wooden steering wheel? If so what do they look like, where can you get them and where does the airbag go? Cheers!

Thanks for your swift reply phm! The ones in your pic are exactly what i had in mind. If you do sell up i would certainly be interested so please drop me a pm! Sorry to sound ignorant but im new to vr's, which part is the 'projector lens "xenon" type main lamp' and which part is the spot as i thought the spotlights were in the block of 3 in line with the number plate..? Which bits light up with sidelights, main beam, full beam etc? Cheers!

My car is only on 66k so shouldn't need doing for a while yet!...But saying that what does the rattle sound like and how do you know what noise the engine is supposed to make normally and what noises arn't meant to be there. Anyone got a sound clip!? -
