  2. as above, only need these now to start my build !! any sites or companies would be cool jim
  3. right , well got the last but one bit on my parts list, just got hold of a t3/4 garret turbo, good for 400-450 bhp, ill post the ar when i get the tubby, but im hoping to see very little lag..just need some cheap arp head bolts now??? any ideas???
  4. ah ta pete, ill resize them all..and gav ill be in touch about the piston
  5. check my build thread out guys, my plans may be set back a little, so i may still be running my orig engine ( but i hope not)
  6. right , well a quick update for you all, tonight we have stripped the head and seperate it from the block , the head itself is fine, but no 5 piston is fugged, the little end has excessive movement and means the bottom end in its curent state is worthless to me. that being the case im chucking all the turbo stuff onto my current engine, i will then rebuild the other bottom end , at my lesuire, this also ensures i keep within my budget of 1000 pounds..
  7. got all the bits bar the tubby mate, so give me a couple of weeks , and it'll be in
  8. right , ill come, and i reckon my mate jimbovr6 will, as will my mate with the 16v..i may even have the turbo lump in by then (fkcuning make sure i will) so put me down for 3 cars total
  9. ill be there mate, i hope to bring a few friends aswell..last time for the car if all goes well in its current state...
  10. ha ha very funny, still cant get them to upload.. but i stripped the inlet manifold off tonight , and cam gear, then manage dto snap one stud on the exhaust mani, and mangle two others.. still its slowly coming together
  11. cheers cadders, i hope not to need any more engine parts apart from the gaskets..should be done within a couple of weeks.
  12. nah got a front mount tony, but thx anyways
  13. yeah weird thing is , it runs with the positive feed to the maf disconnected , so i rekcon its a feed fault, but its been fine now for 2 months.
  14. yeah it is a low budget.. im gonna strip the rest of the engine tonight, so ill post some more pics later.. ive also found a water cooling kit, which i could use on the intercooler, and it comes within my budget.. but im gona get the tubby first
  15. well as you can see, engine is on the stand and partially stripped. bottom chains are ok , but top will need replacing. the rivet on the guide has broken away and a piece of the long guide towards what would be the fron tof the engine is missing, but dont worry i found it all in the sump. more pics tommorrow when i strip the head and wip of the sump to examine the crank and shells. jim
  16. phat vr6, im hoping to run around 8-10 psi, i no people that have just bolted them to the engine with no intercooler or spacer gasket , and had good results. im using a spacer gasket , intercooler, and sticking my schimmel cams in , so hopefully around 300 bhp.. i believe 8 psi will be around 280 bhp. im then gonna run a custom chip or a custom ecu when funds allow, but i want the car built and on the road for under a grand.. im still on line for this if i can get a tubby at a good price..im not fussed if its new, just that it works. most of my 200 sx'x ( i had 4) were built on a budget using
  17. ingham , i was gonna use a t28 from a 200sx , i had 4 of these cars before so i thought it would be ok, i also used to have a table of the.ar hot and cold sides and when it would spool etc..sadly i lost it. the earlier 200sx's run t25 which i agree are to small , on the 200 they can only really do around 1 bar. the later s14's had a t28 , good for a little more , maybe a bar and a half. the pulsars had a t28 with slighlty different internals, which spooled better. as it is im probaly going to go t3/4 .
