car may be ready and may be not, i have all the bits just need to slap the rest of it together.

cheers tony, you been back to stealth yet? the intercooler is a bit to big if im honest ive had to chop quite alot off of the car, but it was on a golf before , so at least i new it would fit. -
phil, i guarentee it will work, how well it will work is another question. im off to get another cutting disc tonight and then im gonna mark up the pipes that need mitre cuts in them, tack them and trail fit them. ive been told my arp head bolts will be here end of this week, so im planning the rest of the build for the end of the month giving me a 26 days to shake the car down and get it ready for the rolling road day

well, ive only had half a hour on it tonight , but have managed to mock up the pipe's to where they will pass through into the car. fitted bumper back on and it still looks stealthy. i need to trim a bit more lower bumper but nothing too bad. will bring a stihl saw home tommorrow to cut some more pipes.

yeah should be done before rr day, im waiting on delivery of some arp head bolts and then its full systems go, should be around 2 hours to build it up, and im hoping to have the intercooler pipes mocked up before then to save some time. only need to get a 3 stud flang and match up to the orig exhaust and its done , bar setting up of the fuel pressure etc. hoping for around 320 bhp at 7-8 psi, im saying that cause iu have some nice new schimmel 263 cams going in at the same time gonna run 1 bar max when im happy with it, but until then im just gonna turn it up bit by bit

intercooler pipes now turned up from china !!! gonna make some pipework up tonight, ill post some pics later

im gonna run it with the teo inner headlights out, im planning on adding some ducting into the engine bay , to help keep things cool.

right some more updates intercooler on, bumper modified along woth slam panel. just waiting on arp headbolts and she be back together, turbo also turned up..some pics below

well, started to cut out the bumper iron tonight, i also need to remove some of the plastic surround that holds the radiator, and im gonna get 2 3" to 2.5 " reducers for my intercooler then i can mock the pipework up.

goign well thanks tony, turbo arrived yesterday, metal headgasket on its way from stealth, and arp bolts on the way from the states..im modding the bumper orin to take the intercooler, and will start to cut the intercooler pipes soon.

yeah nad ill have to get the engine back together and setup before the rr day..brett i may need to speak to you about some rr time for SOME SETUP WORK.

this took all of one and a half hours, and we wer'nt rushing... you can also see that the top chain guide to the front of the engine has snapped in two. EEK !! i think i may replace it. they are only a fiver each. more stuff to come in the next few days..ill post some pictures of the intercooler on the car with pipes maybe by the end of next week. should also have the head on by then , just waiting on the arp head bolts to be delivered now.

right update time. everythings off the car, so now i have no choice but to make it work. trial fitted the intercooler and took the head and bits off, so we are left with a blank canvas. worked out the routing off the intercooler pipes and the direction of the oil feed for the tubby. some pics below

as you can see, everything bar the turbo is here..and now ive figured out how to post pics, ill document the rest of the build as i promised on the first page. check back thursday for some more pics

yeah its gonna have the potential for it. but as i said i dont no how a 170000 mile box is gonna hold up ? and ive no idea what the cams are gona do for my bhp, gonna run some very low boost to start , maybe 6 psi

well, another update, got the intercooler and the turbo is in the post, so the build starts this thursday, gonna do a couple of hours a night , so i reckon a week or so off the road.. fingers crossed it goes ok

what about if you dont have the mk4 gasket, but still have a spacer plate can you just stack the gaskets ?? as in i have a o/e gasket and a spacer gasket, i was planning on stackin them like people used to do on rs tubos and such.
