Well i have been following this thread for a while now and went out to halfords today and boufght myself a universal ripspeed cone filter ,26 quid and makes the best noise not bothered about heat soak as bhp gains in any filter are minimal anyway.I was only after the roar and to be honest it sounds better than the k and n cone filter that was on my other vr.So to summarise air filters bhp gains are only minimal imho so dont bother spending money that could be better spent else where. virgin

Only bought this highline 2 weeks ago from andyvr6.After my vr was written off i thought i would still feel the same about the golf ,but i don`t i need a change and it cant come soon enough.My first vr golf was my baby until someone ran into the back of it ,the golf to me will never be the same again. So i am looking for a straight swap my highline for a vr raddo.My car is an r reg 1997 mulberry 5 door highline great condition inside and out 85k and fsh mainly vw the rest vw specialist.I am not worried about milage or age of corrado the only thing i ask is if over 100k the chains have been don

As above can a vr6 engine be put into any revision of the corrado if so what work apart from a straight swap would be needed? Cheers Virgin

There are no disadvantages as far as i can tell. except that not many people have used them so there is not much reference for finding any particular faults with them long term. Advantages are they produce more power,more power lower down the rev range and more boost top end also smaller than most other chargers and they have a lifetime warranty. Once i have the cash i wont be going past them for any other type. They are the one and only in my humble opinion.

Update on my problem took it to my mechanic today and found out that it was the thermostat housing getting it fixed on saturday

Usually the obd 1 has the stated 174 hp but obd 2 is usually slightly more. Hope this help virgin -

The thing is its only the spring that is mulberry in colour the shocks ae black. Cant see someone painting the car taking the shocks off and leaving the springs on ,guess i will just have to put it down to one of lifes little mysteries.
