  1. sounds like nothing but if water gets in your engine its proper had it, bent rods the lot
  2. is it breathing heavily from the oil cap ?
  3. those holes have a plastic cap in, to stop dirt and just so you can line flywheel for TDC, i think the threaded hole is for the bracket that holds the gear cables ????
  4. your claiming it won`t handle 650bhp how do you know ?? not asking wot you have read or seen, have you tested it ? maybe the turbo he has is right for the car and box , maybe your gt30r is to harsh for your gearbox, my t70 is i found that out also my gt35r , but things have to be pushed, otherwise you`ll never find its limit, its all down to luck and wot you want and how its setup, maybe he`s got it right and you`ve got it wrong or vice versa, no need either of you to be like this, i know wot he has, if he don`t wanna tell up to him i`m saying nothing but bickering about most power is nothi
  5. i would want to tell you bugger all either, you seem to have something on your mind you want to tell us ????
  6. he`s been PhatVR6 (york) since year dot , Phat VR6(Brum) is the imposter, cos you was getting me confused with him
  7. well summit tells me that`s wrong, i`ve sheared more 2wd gears with and without lsd than 4wd and the 4wd having more torque as well, twisted drive shafts, cv bolts and prop shaft bolts but never stripped a 4wd gearbox
  8. And what if i aint got august golf+ ? You cant drive it very hard i stripped third gear in less than 2k and third gear is meant to be the only part of an 02a gearbox that will break ! My friend worked in a big gearbox place in warington "BLACK DIAMOND" for years just fixing vw boxes he told me the only thing that will break is third gear and how wright he was ! 3rd is`nt the only gear that would break in 02a box and how do you know if he doesn`t drive it very hard ,? as said in another thread its how the torque is delivered, the power means nothing, if the gearbox has a short sharp input
  9. £60 seems over the top, about £45 here but still to expensive save your money for a large turbo and injectors
  10. yep, pm me and i can put you on to someone in norwich as good as mahle if not better any spec you want
  11. i reakon it could down to how aggresive the turbo is , if gradual in the progression of boost it should be fine, but it come on hard higher up the rev range the gearbox is going to be under more pressure
  12. if you put on a charger or turbo with them otherwise not really worth it, head work or a set of cams maybe then cams aint cheap
  13. i know a supplier, give me all the details of the spec of piston you want and the engine code, i`ll sort a keen price then i`ll pass on his number to you
  14. you should be able to get 4" all the way, thats how its is on mine, but then that how markies done his 4" down to 3" back up

    gearbox removal

remove drive shafts then flanges out of the box, for getting in and out, a ramp helps with a long stand specailly with the long bolt on the rear mount, seriously a pain in the arse
