  1. just drop the box off from underneath drive shafts off etc loosenin the n/s hub helps a ton tooget the box well out of the way give yourself a load of room to work around that area, id say check all the timing parts for wear and tear as the guides are only plastic. remember to get a jack under the engine when you removve the box cos its only held inb by 2 mounts. i wouldnt bother takin the whole lump out its a bit of a mare. this way you dont have to take all your front panel off either. hope this gives you an idea mate? :-p

  11. you could get the existing triangular (3 hole)flange measured up and have a manifold plate made up to those dimentions and have this plate tig welded to the six branch, thus keeping your system OE. any engineering or fab shop worth theyre salt should be able to do this for you at a reasonable price! 8-| 8-|
  12. when you say blocked off , how do you mean? does the transfer box output shaft need removing? has anyone got any fairly detailed pictures of this gearbox? *-) *-) *-)
  13. i think a 4 motion box is way too big to put into an older chassis without some serious bulkhead/chassis leg mods *-) *-)
  14. If we are talking mk3 chassis, ive been looking at 02m 121d series 2WD boxes found mainly in the states an the father land. but dont know as yet weather they foul the chassis legs cos they are quite a tall box by the looks of it. is there anybody out there with any more xperience of this box?
