Auxilliary water pump running on.
xyber replied to jws vr6's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Doent the aux pump only run on if the temp is high enough? Mine rarely runs on, but its in perfect order as I tested it by jumpering 2 of the terminals on the sensor plug on the stat housing -
which one you tried mike? the cheap one of the dearer one from SWG?

Ive actually been considering a side exit, but its alot of cutting and welding to do it properly. Didnt know supersprint were that size pipe! give that a miss! I'll check out Magnaflows site, cheers mate

All parts will fit ok on LHD, stage 2 is about 280 bhp. Thats why im going for a Schrick mani 1st, b4 stage 2 as it boosts low end torque, then ill buy a stage 2 pulley 2nd hand as there is plenty around and the bigger injectors from the states for pennies, get it mapped again and im sorted. Think id have a look at water injection for stage 2 aswell to cool things off abit

If you get a plastic kitchen spatula, you can feed all the cables in and around the stereo and all the little gaps on the back of mine ive got running 3 stinger rca (2 cables the size of a pencil per line) all the power cables a ground loop suppressor(box the size of 2 snooker chalks) the usual 2 multiblock connectors fat aerial cable it is very tight but do-able if you imagine your pushing the majority of the cables towards the rear of the glove box/pass airbag, and the power cables just below the cage the unit sits in, it will all fit, just about with a bleeding knuckle here and there

http://www.nsracing.com/ < < NS racing Give them a call for the lastest prices, they are the VF engineering sister company in the UK so they will be the cheapest. Most people on here have got theirs from them (or C2 motorsport) as they quite often run group buys. For a stage 1 kit from them, they if you sourced an oil cooler setup (got mine from THE PHIRM), low temp thermostat (awesome gti) and a custom remap (Stealth) you'd be looking at about £3000 all in. Mine runs at 260.7bhp 221.9ftlb. Its a good starting point to see how you get on with it and easy to build from in the future by c

Its definatly addictive when you get the hang of all the steps and processes to properly detailing a car. Ive got to the point where Ive got some many bottles of magic potions, cloths, brushes etc, ive got 3 40ltr boxes stacked full of it! You'll start to notice almost everyone washes and waxes their car wrong and it'll make you cringe when you see them do it, even my local porsche showroom doesnt do it right!! In the summer, when my mates call me to get down the beach or whatever, quite often I dont bother as its perfect detailing weather just after 1230 once my driveway is in the shade hahah

Ive got a Pioneer with built in bluetooth, It automatically links to your mobile for handsfree and if your mobile has a built in mp3 player you can stream to the stereo from your phone, no need for 100's of cd's in your car My last 3 stereos have been pioneer as I like them so much Have a look on US sites and ebay USA and Japan aswell for Nakamichi head units aswell, they dont look much but the sound quality is unbeatable, they dont have much in the way extras as they focus soley on sound quality http://www.nakamichi.com/home.html

vibra technics engine mounts who's got em and what they like ?
xyber replied to philbatesvr6's topic in General Chat
Ive got a VF front mount and about to fit vibras on the rest, the VF ones are very stiff Another on to try is Turn2, alot of the U.S lads rate them, harder to get hold of though -
I was wondering if they were trying that TBH, Thing that really rules it out tho is loosing the car for a few days, as id have to drop the car, get home a few hundred miles, then do it all again a few days later. Im interested in a supersprint set up aswell, annoying thing is though, you dont know what it sounds like. We should make a library on you tube so people can go through and listen to roughly what they sound like before buying BTW whats your BORLA like? I was looking around their site the other day along with the BASTUCK site as ive heard good things about them aswell TBH I just fancy
-
They need to come down in ££££ a fair bit, but, im a sucker for the right sound hahaha What do they sound like, the scooby ones bring out a mettalic rasp sound, bit like an M3 which is what im after, but I cant really be arsed with a 6-branch as they seem more hassle that they are worth, mind you the Dubpower mani looks like it may have away round the usual problems with its flexi joint, but it is twice the price

looks like the one Novitec built, if its that one they added twin turbo's aswell iirc cant beat modded supercars, have a gander at the IMSA GALLARDO BIG PIC http://www.exoticcarsite.com/pictures/tuners/imsa/gallardo/imsa-lamborghini-gallardo-5.jpg

Has anyone on on here got one? I got a quote from them today for a 100cpi cat and system as ive wanted one ever since I saw a scooby one and it was a work of art. They said they'd made a few for VR6's and they would need the car for 4 days!! I was expecting around £750 until that point £1200!!!!!! Im still tempted though, bloody car!!! :-d

I got bosch aero retro fit ones with twin blades a few weeks back for £27, they are the nuts, well worth doing

Yeah I may have ago over the xmas break when too much time with the family sends me to the brink and I shall have to retire to the garage, and on spotting my spare mani on the bench, ill drunkenly reach for the disc cutter, think better of it, but get up early the next morning and get going on it hahaha All though as ive got a charger it wont do much different really I doubt

if you gonna charge it you want to budget around £2500(inc re-map) to do it by the time you get all the other bits and pieces needed but id go for all new gear so budget for £3000, decent exhaust £350-£400 and the interior ££££££££ if you dont get it done properly it wont last and will look shat. My cousin is a retrimmer and he said to do mine would be £800 for top quality materials and that was family rates I wouldnt bother, spend the extra grand on a really pukka VR and clean and feed the leather it comes with
