  1. have you checked the voltage that's going to the radiator switch. that was what was low on mine.
  2. to get him in or to do the comp test? I'll have the floodlight with me if the latter.
  3. yep, shiny is a slippery slope - all pun intended ;-)
  4. are we talking about the radiator fan switch? There is one for the dash display, which will be variable, in the thermostat housing.
  5. Dead easy to find. The key to finding it was to not turn right! Straight over at the first roundabout and it's a big fuck off supermarket on your right. Cheers' date=' Andy [/quote'] gave us time for some breakfast though so not all bad even if the catch up was a bit of a race
  6. I think there is no way to miss this one ;-) looking at the map is only 500yds from passprt control but I've never been
  7. There seems to be a nice services* / car park just off the ferry at dunkirk for the european regrouping View this aerial image on Multimap.comGet directions on Multimap.com * don't think there's petrol but see my previous post.
  8. When asked we turned Top Gear down with argument, the site was left tidy and not paying for the gazebos was a misunderstanding as we assumed as a rally we didn't need to. But I am surprised nothing was mentioned ;-)
  9. Fan speed doesn't increase with voltage, it's all or nothing. From my experiance the fan control unit needs 12v, or near enough, before it switches. I was only getting 8 volts at the switch and had to put in a new live direct to the battery.
  10. I use these two: http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-Wellingborough-UKXX1388 http://www.accuweather.com/ukie/forecast-15day.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&postalcode=NN8%203QT&metric=1 doesn't help that they are completely opposite. 5 Days! Last summer they couldn't get it right the day before. I ended up just looking out of the window ;-)

  13. A squirt of WD40, or something stronger, before you start is always a good idea if everything has been in place like forever
  14. I've got that to look forward to this week if the weather holds. Already done the inside, seats out and all
  15. I've got plenty of batteries and memory cards for my camera so bring them on.
  16. Fantastic news Jake. You good to meet us at 4 or should we make other arrangements for ya?
  17. Yes you can. One end of the chip should either have a semi circle cut out of the end or a small indentation next to one pin - this is pin one. just match the new chip with the one that's in. The circuit board might have some indication as to which end has pin one, maybe a semi circle of paint. If you have any worries it's a five min job I can do on Saturday evening, as long as the super chip is in a socket. The chips are easily damaged by static electricity so make sure you ground yourself by grabbing a metal water pipe, or similar, before handling.
  18. Your premium membership has lapsed leading to the overloading.
  19. yes it will bolt staright on. However problems people have had inlcude the manifold cracking as the engine rocks. uprated engine mounts are therefoe recommended with them. They also get very hot and some form of heat protection is required be it wrapping - v. tedious - or ceramic coating - v. expensive. they do sound nice though ;-)
  20. you should be able to pick one up on the auto jumble.
  21. Good job you plan to have a GP session at Easter ;-) See, what did I tell ya Chris!
