Yes you can. One end of the chip should either have a semi circle cut out of the end or a small indentation next to one pin - this is pin one. just match the new chip with the one that's in. The circuit board might have some indication as to which end has pin one, maybe a semi circle of paint. If you have any worries it's a five min job I can do on Saturday evening, as long as the super chip is in a socket. The chips are easily damaged by static electricity so make sure you ground yourself by grabbing a metal water pipe, or similar, before handling.
