  1. he`s a cheeky f***** isnt he, he needs a couple of slaps!
  2. wheels are such a "personal choice" item, as it depends on taste style and budget, rondell are a decent enough make, imo BBS are one of the best looking wheels you can fit to a vw though, (even though i have RH ZW1`s on mine)
  3. mmm might have to search and make a few phone calls! got a bit of spare time at the mo so watch this space, cheers paul, i will post my findings after my quest is complete! !mistrust
  4. ah those were the days! no brakes, heavy steering and a big grin....
  5. no these are for the front and rear doors mate 6.5 inch! i cant find out off anybody if you can get straight forward upgrade ones for the rear door tweeters or the dash ones, i found a thread that the guy from sydney (sorry mate forgot your user id) had fitted some tweeters using a template in the dash ones, shame as my mk2 i just got some jbl ones and bolted em in!!
  6. you can get a high flow cat from miltek i think, & if you went for bypass you would need to swap it over for the mot.
  7. yeah they are 2 way coaxial ones, see pic, sorry dont know much about stereo stuff! just plug them straight in, and off they go, thats why i avoided any other sorts as i didnt want to run cables & amps its agro!
  8. ah thanks for that mate, just a thought as i am fitting the others tommorow, i am not into mega stereo stuff really, just happy with a decent enough head unit and ok speakers, the standard ones sound ok to my surprise! got the Alpine component ones as they were "cheap as chips"
  9. thats the throttle body and electrical gubbins/ecu setting itself mine does it too! aux pump noise only runs when its been hot
  10. what components did you use? what size are they? trying to get some for mine but would like Alpine ones, seen some sps-1005 ones but unsure if they will fit in??
  11. any body know what size rear door tweeters are? i have just got some Alpine component speakers to upgrade all 4 doors (very cheap
  12. go to ford for the maf sensor, i think its the same as the galaxy vr6 one??? if it is will be cheaper from ford, dont take it for read a new part wherever it comes from will cure this though, sometimes the new parts are dud from factory if the box has been bumped around, so if its still iffy with a new one take it back and get another, second hand is risky imo
  13. fully synthetic is v good oil, sometimes it can be a bit thin on higher mileage engines, can also get past old oil seals if its not been run on synthetic from new or recently rebuilt
  14. Glad you finaly got it sourced and on the way to being back on the road, also I know someone who would have the spare inlet manifold off ya ;)
  15. i think most people use 10w 40 quantum synta silver, euro car parts do some good deals on it
  16. I am very pleased/impressed with my highsport FK kit, it cost 1/2 the
  17. sounds like your rear shocks are knackered mate or atleast well worn, get them checked at a decent garage and go from there, it might be worth upgrading all the suspension if the rears have gone? as the front is possibly not much better? there are loads of suspension threads on here so you can decide from standard to in the weeds!
  18. sounds cool, but its still a bmw! you would have to start playing golf wear lyle and scott jumpers, and pull out on everyone rear wheel drive! ergghhhhh, about time bmw admitted defeat and put the 4wd system on their "sports" cars, even the japs are way ahead of the "german ford" just imo of course !shy
  19. look into my eyes not around the eyes...... is ringing in my head!!!
  20. !shy needs too go up about 5-10 mil on drivers side though! i am a bit heavy! and the arch rubs a tincy bit on bad roads or really hard corners! wing hasnt come off yet though so its not too bad! !amazed
