    well you know the bonnet.................... its the thin black metal rod thing that stops it falling on your head! and is always in the way whenever you work on your car! unless you have bonnet lifters instead?????????????

    have you checked you got nothing stuck on you exhaust pipe? could be a plastic bag or something caught up? if not it could be rear brakes dragging calipers always seize up!! !sad

    i think there is a meet every second thursday at wrotham off the m26 but as yet i havnt been due to work commitments, club gti used to meet at the hotel at brands hatch which was good as they have a nice car park!!

    just found the vw part number for the plastic original too its 021012213 dunno how much they are now about a tenner?

    go to www.samstagsales.com go to spark plug on the list and it lists the spark plug tool and picture if you click on the description! T10029 is the part number, its in the usa but you should be able to find one here in uk if not just import one!

    best to get a genuine spoiler those replacement ones are shite!!! they crack and dont join in the middle properly, got mine from vw the other week cost, 28.22 a side part no`s 1H6805903AB41 & 1H6805904AB41

    could be anything as has already been said, could be simple or agro, get it diagnostic checked! only trouble with heavy mods to a car you dont know whats been done and by who??????

    yeah they are a soft compound but thats why they are so grippy! not as bad as yoko`s though! i had some avon zv tyres on my bbs alloys on my last car they were pretty good and lasted well, i still think the toyo is the best price/performance wise if you get them from abroad you can save a load more money, i got mine post free for 4.

    yeah i am only going about 30 mm on the rear and 40 mm on the front to avoid too much rubbing, i hate that awful noise on bends!!!!! !amazed

    you need to get 5x100 bolt pattern, (thats the distance between your bolt holes) off set of around ET 35 which is so you have correct hub fitment and clearance, if you go for wide rims the ET goes lower (which makes the wheels stick out more) you can fit porsche wheels etc but you need adapters as porsche are 5x130 bolt holes, if you just intend to get a nice set of aftermarket alloys? look here www.tunershop.co.uk (the borbet deep dish alloys look superb!) any company selling wheels will give you the low down and should supply the correct fitting for your car with all its related furniture

    ????why, i think the vento front looks good on a vento! it suits the rest of the cars shape, i still like the standard look, especially with mine as it is purple and got the small badges it gets mistaken for a lesser golf a lot of the time!! more fun!! i suppose the vento look could be good in that respect as it a bit of a bit sleeper thats overlooked sometimes?

    if it looks like oil it probably is! you do get a brown murky residue in a header if its coolant has not been serviced regularly or if its and older motor, only way to be 100% is to get it checked out mate, it may be that it just hasnt been serviced recently and coolant is murky, it should be a nice pink colour, is there any other signs of neglect in the engine bay? is it a high miler? depending on what year your vr is and its spec compared to what you paid for it depends on wether you feel you have been ripped mate.

    i like the smoked look tbh, i have never worked out why the highline didnt have all smoked lenses on? sides and rear are all smoked but fronts are all white, i think white lenses look good on a car with indicators next to the headlamps as it blends in better, so i may? change to smoked fogs etc? i still like those hella cellis lamps but i am not paying
