  4. Just shows how little people know lol I take it the bad advice didnt comr from here then?
  5. OBD1 throttle body and pipework. If its not like this then its OBD2
  6. Mk3 VR6 will all be 12v engines. The 24v came in the mk4 Golf. To tell the differnece between OBD1 and 2 will need you to look at pics on here, but generally OBD1 are up to about 1995 and OBD2 from 1995 to 98. Highlines will have highline on logbook and basicly have leather to match bodywork, either black or mulberry. Plus may still have on wooden steering wheel and gearnob
  7. BUB is a mk5 engine and you will need to swap fuel rails around. As has been said get a mk4 engine BFH with all the loom etc as its 100 times easier. The standard ECU is ery tunable indeed so standalone is money wasted in my eyes. Any decnt tuner can map a ME7.1 ECU. You will need to get the mk3 and mk4 looms spliced together I do beleive
  8. Tony had one and he never had piss took outta him....much lol
  9. What is it...go on we wont take the pith.....much lol
  10. I racked up 2529 miles door to door. Well worth it tho as roads are perfect in europe
  11. Was out there for a week with a few off here. Very relaxed and some nice cars about
  12. 02a clutches are way cheaper than 02m clutches eh Tony lol
  13. Id be asking more if you need a van of that size. But I dont know what tools you need to carry. As there are plenty of smaller vans that would suit
  14. Jim Potter ran a standard clutch in his for quite a long time. Think he then put a helix paddle clutch in it. I have a paddle clutch in my turbo'd R32
  15. Standard clutch will be fine....think they are sachs
  16. Easiest way just undo the bolts that hold bumper iron on with bumper still attached as Lukey says. Bonnet release is on the drivers side wing so thats easy. You can see the holes on Lukeys pic next to fog light where you can undo the bolts, saves faffing around with taking bumper off first
  17. Yeah i often swung mine to the side and got on with what i needed to do
  18. As long as you get 205/40 or 195/40 tyres you will be fine with 17s, but it does need lowering on 17s
  19. Personally ,seeing as you have to completely empty the cooling system, I would take off the front end. Its easy enough, 4 bolts and whole front end comes off ,not including coolant hoses tho, unless you have aircon/climate control then take inlet off and do it that way
  20. Should just bolt up the youe existing hard lines
  21. It's the calipers end that's different. Obd1 screw into the calipers whereas the ones you have there don't, we'll they do just a different way ie banjo
  22. Just keep using the report thread button so we know. Then we will delete the account where neccessary
