  2. Actually, the VERY first thing I'd do to a VR is forget about the engine and fit a 3.68 FD THE best mod you can do to a VR6 without question.
  3. You may get 220hp on optimistic rollers with all those NA mods.... not on a dyno dynamics [wink] 0BD2 2.8 268 Dougherty cams 205hp.... Who said chipping an OBD II isn't worth it? I'm willing to argue, as I suspect C2 UK would be too....
  4. Go on the mk1 Golf forum, there's a German guy on there that sells just wht you're looking for.

  6. Hmmm, strange one. My gf has a Golf mk5 Edition 30 , as stock it was 254bhp @ Stealth. A few months later it was ran on a DynoDynamics dyno down in Portsmouth (JKM) where it produced 227bhp BANG ON the factory rating of 230ps.
  7. Is it going to be out and about this year or are you still breaking stuff?
  8. Someone on the Corrado forum has said it's got 3.6 pistons on an R32 block. Dunno what the details are or if that's possible..., it's still a mad little mk1 in anyone's book?

  11. I've got an Unorthodox racing alloy one, same as Fidanza. http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/UNO061410200.htm Pick up is improved greatly, although there is a bit more clutch chatter than with a stock flywheel. I bought mine from a mate, so can't offer any recommendations to a supplier.
  12. You can rev to 7k on stock cams but you might as well piss on the spare wheel ! (out of the power band.)
  13. You can get the limiter raised via a remap from such places as C2 motorsport, Stealth etc - if you're running 268 cams some people recommend you run uprated valve springs to control valve float at high revs - iIm running stock springs on mine and it's regularly revved to 7k on track days.

  18. May as well add my trip report here. Posted on Northloop so you may not know the members mentioned. To say that I was looking forward to this trip, was a bit like saying Karl enjoys a few light ales on a Saturday evening in Adenau. This weekend it would be my girlfriend Claire, myself and the GVKwagen, we knew there would be lots of friends old and new at the 'ring so was ok to go "on our own". As it's the middle of UK summer we had torrential rain alll the way down the M40/M25 on o
