just looking through scoobynet and found a bunch of threads about car jacking, with some poor guy being stabbed with a screwdriver. 1 of the threads suggested that thieves were targeting cars from forums or meets and tailing people from shows. getting bloody dangerous to have a nice car now, the thieving bleeders are burgling the houses to get the keys to beat the alarms and immobilisers, think maybe we need to be a bit more circumspect on posting mods like chargers etc. they would be big money to break now. the general thread was that the tracker was useless and that the thieves hide the car

they are only 27 quid new . its a sod of a job on mk3s tho . the dash has to be removed as well as the metal reinforcement across the car , just done mine much harder than mk2s .its in the bently manual . -
dont worry about it it really is easier than u think , its just nuts and bolts , just remember to undo the 2 captive nuts under the windscreen in the plenum . where are you if your close enough come over andi will give youa hand with the dash .

the height adjuster is a threaded collar that is on the body of the shock , find a pic of coilovers and you will see the difference immediatly . you probably have koni adj which just alter the damping rate although you have to strip the rear to do that . really good suspension though , bonus -

are you sure no one saw him not a guy down the street or a mate passing by for instance or a friend of a friend maybe, maybe a reward would.... jog a memory for instance surely YOU could find a witness to say they saw him ..... just a thought of course you cant just pay for bogusinfo after all, you dont want violence you want compensation... first.

under the scuttle where the wiper motor sits ,its just to the left of centre, undo the bracket and remove it the ecu no . is on the unit i could read mine without taking it of tho tbh. pete -

u dont need to undo the screws if u want em out u need to pull out the clips from the boot they go over a pin , just remembered mines got mk 4 seats in so its easy ... just look at the bracket from the back and u will see em

just rotate the clips on the door ends and they slip out from the middle jon. dead easy mate well it is on a 5 door , get a flat bladed screw driver and just push the clips up. peyte

it can be done without taking the dash out , i just undid the bolts and pulled it up , not a fun job tho .

its probably the fans not in the air box or its got bent , not a big deal u can access it under ure passenger side dash, just done my heater matrix which was not a fun job but the actual heater blower is relativly easy to access ,if u need to remove it the bolt goes through the bulkhead and comes through right behind the abs unit its a 10 mm nut with a big washer attached really easy to see on a 4cyl car bit more difficult on a vr . pete

the wheels are all bored to a diameterthat fits anything then bushes are fitted ti reduce the bore to the correct application , they will still fit without but its gonna feel like ure driving over kerbs constantly . think the centre are around 70 mm so the bushes take up the difference and centre the wheels , i had to have some made for my rondells .

the charger thing isnt relevant in my opinion its only the same as choosing to buy a 2.8 over a 1.4, its the ability to make progress that counts instant acceleration when u have a short opportunity to pass the old git in the metro thats holding up the whole line of traffic. a supercharger will give you greater scope or any mods for that matter . every time i go out on my bike i mentally recalibrate to increase my chances of survival not just getting banned i dont ride like a maniac the same as having a charger wouldnt make me drive like 1 but i use the acceleration to keep the longest view i

rich. if you decide the car is to be written off and buy it back as salvage it will be recorded in a category that reflects the severity, A is i think a is total body to D which is stuff like stolen recovered with lock damage etc. if you look in the autotrader you will see loads of places selling salvage which is exactly this , it just means if you fix it and then have an accident the agreed value would be less than a non recorded car know a lot of guys who do this for a living tbh. check that the figures are as you expected first then buy the salvage back and get it sorted for a lot less mone

no mate the tyres will fit ok , bit small tho if ure changing em i think u need to go to 16s for the best compromise between ride and looks , i have 17x 8s which look good i think but take the edge of the acceleration -
