  1. If it is AT startup, could be dodgy motor mounts.
  2. The v6 4 motion at the recent dyno day I went to made 1 kilowatt less than me at the wheels 109 vs 108 - drivetrain losses.
  3. Anything I should be wary of? 1)Petrol Stations 2)Timing chain rattle at 1200rpm - listen on right hand side of engine as you are looking at car from front 3)Dubious air intake work 4)You're mechanically minded - standard water and oil leaks including head gasket leaks 5)Standard suspension 6)Badly judged replacement suspension 7)Electric window operation 8 )Heavy right foot 9)See 1 10)See 2, and check again.
  4. Dont know about flywheel figures, anyhow, its wheel hp that pushes you along! You are all welcome to post recent dyno plots in this thread. It would be most useful if you put up your mods/test conditions to help others make a valued judgement about future mods. For the record: K&N Panel filter Catback custom exhaust with Sebring twin 101mm muffler. 98 RON petrol.
  5. The vwvortex Australia guys got together and had a dyno day. Heres my result - kilowatts at the wheels. 109.4 kW is 147 whp.
  6. Most blokes on here would offer to cover your front, be careful.
  7. Cult society would have got my business by now were it not for that tune blasting my speakes everytime I go on the site!
  8. Apart from looking shit hot, theres nothing wrong with them....

    bonnet!

    Thank me later: http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.php/Jammed_bonnet_opening_tips
  10. I thought that when I saw the picture, but it doesnt really have that much camber, and it corners like a mofo, so, its cool. I put it down to the no-dish wheels - an optical illusion.
  11. I think the biggest proponent of the polishing company, who has a link in his sig, uses clay bar twice a year, and its not for over-spray.
  12. Sometime when pages load they are only in text. Whats that about?
  13. He means give you a throbbing headache, even more for the people in the back.
  14. Polish to your hearts content til you think there can't be anything left on the paintwork. Then, clay bar the roof and use the paint cleaner after that. Take the cleanest cloth you can find an wipe the roof down, lo and behold, masses of crap all over the clean cloth.......IT 'AINT CLEAN TIL IT'S CLAYED!
  15. H&R works for me and the US guys - its lower at the front. Go for a thicker rear sway bar too and you are laughing....
  16. Like the topic says. I'm sure its somewhat custom but what lip is it?
  17. Kev, did you need spacers for the 312s and the 16 inch speedlines? I would have though the discs are in-board enough not to need them.
  18. Yes, they're good. They're H&R! Cheaper version of full-on coilovers. Go and buy them.
  19. Any colour concept except black, especially salsa green. Oh, and the yellow one.
  20. 312s will not go under 15s. Not sure about a3, still think they are 5x100. TT'S go staight on I believe without a spacer, in fact 312s will allow more clearance than 288s.
  21. Check my avatar, 312's going under RS4s very soon. They do fit under 16s I believe (diameter is ok, just depends on the wheel spoke depth. Audis all have wheel with no real dish, if at all, so your range of options should be fine). You need 5x100 pcd, so a set from a TT or S3 Audi will be fine. Recent a4/s4 series are not right at 5x112. Binliner was selling a set of tt competitions, and another member just replaced his. They look awesome. I'd have them if I wasnt on the other side of the planet.
