You say the door light is only on the highlines? my mates got an N reg 5dr vr with them in (if you mean little red lights in the corner of the doors)

Next to the handbrake warning light, late ones might not have them then. little orange light which looks like (0) sort of thing -
Yeah 0-60 in 5.5, i thought the TT was about 6.7 - 7 sec and the NA version was about 7.8. my na supe gave TT z's a bit of a challange . and for the auto i think they are very good on jap cars as my FTO was auto and my supe, but its down to personal preference and whether you sit in traffic alot . Overdrive is just fourth gear but with a longer drive ratio so it cruises at high speed, like doing 80mph at about 2.5-3 thousand revs. unless its got a sports mode it does not make any difference if it is turned on or not, unless there is a little mechanic sitting under the car with a spare bo

Dont worry me now , will take the wheels off tom and check, or relace with some nice new pads, might as well do the backs as well, aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh more work !amazed -
What does it actually consist of then? obviously its an inlet manifold, but i take it its got a throttle body as well? sorry have only seen one once and nobody seems to list what it actually is.

It came on last night and has not gone off, so some electrics work , any idea when these go off, because the pads look ok and they are fast road pads so not that cheap, but they do get used

When i had my supra a lot of people slated the 300zx, not for performance or handling but due to the amount of things that go wrong with them, sorry prob not what you want to hear and i hope you have great fun with a RWD beast

Mines got 288 on but its a 1992 , well i put them on anyway , i think it was 95, not absolutely sure though

Has anyone tried HIC, well you must have as they give a discount to club members, and you dont have to worry about extras like alloys, suspension, lights and air filters up to a certain extent. Mine was 400 TPFT with 4 years NCB, and all mods declared etc. But obviously comp would be a bit more, and i am going that route in a few months when my renewal comes through

Some storage places use an oil which keeps the engine from rusting or deteriorating and you dont have to start the car or anything, admitadly they are kept under cover so none of Englands elements (weather) can kill it. I would get a decent cover and i mean decent because some of them take the laquer off the paint and bake on on hot days , believe me look at my old bike , use a good lube (ooh) and do door locks or anything that has got a hinge so nothing can go wrong with it, might be a bit extreme as a year aint that long and golfs are pretty good for corrosion etc but i would. Been on there web site and they do various bits, and just wanted peoples views if they have had this done etc, just to see if it makes a big difference. 1) VSR conversion 1700 fitted, includes VSR manifold conversion, RR, re-chip, and gives you 20lb ft of torque and 10bhp. 2) VR6 kit, big throttle body and re-chip, for 600 fitted. 3) or just a gas flowed large bore throttle body for 250 plus an exchange. and all plut vat, ooh lovelly vat. 8)

Clifford 650, they cost about 350 fitted and are the best value one IMO. And blackjax and remote start is not on thatchams list, as remote start is nothing to do with security really just convenience or arse warming , and blackjax is cliffords own system. The toad ai606 is a good alarm but not as good as clifford and they cost about the same. The only prob with the cliffords is they all come with a dual proximity warning, which it chirps when someone is near your car, good idea but it also goes off when it rains and wakes me up, unless you have it on the lowest setting so it wont detect

I have just got a BMC CDA induction and the difference from my old K&N is good really, well for a filter. it does pick up quicker and better throttle response, but not nearly as much noise as the k&n , really good filters though but my CDA only cost 30 quid , just needed the adaptor that was missing 8)

Whats up with the gearboxes on the integra then? is that jap imports as well do you know? and yeah there is no other engine like the vr for being so torquey throughout the rev range, and as people say you do really have to rag the nuts off the VTEC before it starts going.

If you had 17" wheels would that not mean your actually going faster than the speedo says, where the wheel is going round less than with smaller diameter wheels?

I agree with tandino the image is not good on them, and the flat four is sound until you start playing with her, the imports are 280 brake or more as the power figures in japan have to be 280 to get passed there laws i think, so its probably pushing out more than that, as the supe TT is 280bhp but realistic is 320 bhp for the imported version (GZ or RZ). They are nice but totally different to the golf, not an every day car IMO. good for corners thou. Get a P1 then your talking

Rado and golf mk2 are the same and a bitch to put in a mk3 golf, but mkiv will fit in easier i think. Plus if anyone sees a 3dr interior let me know as i have been after a highline or colour concept one for a while now (whole interior inc doorcards etc) cheers

Did the kit not come with a wiring diagram?, i fitted some angel eyes on a mates vr not so long ago, and it all came with plug convertions and everything you could possibly want to wire them in.
