  1. Had 282's in my golf, peak power was above 7k but you do really need to keep it in the band to make the most of the power....4-4.5k upwards
  2. Remove the two switch blanks above the ashtray, it should be behind there m8y.
  3. 'OBD2 inlet manifold gasket 021 133 227J' It's the same part for OBD1 and OBD2, i've got a brand new one here if you need one.
  4. It's impossible for me to say as it was put on at the same time a load of other work was done to the engine, but it does sound awesome. All of the vr6's in VWR cup use this manifold so i guess it's got to be pretty good. It's mild steel.
  5. I've got the ashley manifold and it works very well,but..you do need to make sure your engine mounts are in good nick or they can crack towards the bottom of the manifold, you also need to allow for about another £50 to properly lag the manifold otherwise under-bonnet temps will be insane, as mild or stainless steel can't hold anything like the heat that the original pig iron manifold can.
  6. I made my own with a sheet of gasket paper, it's quite easy to do, or i could knock you one up for a few quid.
  7. Try hose-direct in doncaster, i think it was £145 i paid for mine two or three years ago.
  8. Iirc i had to cut the stitched seam off the bottom of the leather gaitor.
  9. I got mine from HoseDirect for £140 a few years back, they're in doncaster as far as i remember but they do mail order.
  10. I would say body colour or black, weird but i just had a conversation about the exact same thing with my mate tony...who just bought your oz's lol
