    There should be a VAG bar code on the off side door pillar - at least mine has one. But i guess it could appear anywhere on the body. I've got a late 5dr VR so i'll have a look in the boot at lunch time and let you know

My spanish is as good as well... not very good but i just clicked about and came across some pic and stuff. The above link goes to some members cars, at the bottom of the page there is a link to the next page, theres a particular tasty black VR with modded front bumper with some RS4 wheels.     As above, which one is recommended? I've seen a supersprint for £260 inc vat, from the picture i've seen its the back box plus another pipe which i think joins onto the cat box. ?! Is this box any good? Amd have recommended Militek at £345 + vat for cat back system with fitting. But i know jack about both, except Militek and Supersprint come up across on this forum quite a lot.

    Couldn't you just turbo the f@ck out the VR6, add some Nitrus and bobs your uncle Fanny probably your aunt and you got one bloody quick car... Its friday so please forgive me.

    only guessing but may be a heat temp sensor? My sister had a similar problem on her Escort and took it to ford who charged £80 to carry out a diagnostics and then said they werent sure... Another Ford mechanic checked it and changed to compression sensors and then said change the cat as its clogged... still no joy... my dad ( an ex mechanic) changed the heat sensor - i think - and its ok now. i think that would be why your experiencing problems once the engine heats up and not at cold. Mind you i could be totally and utterly off the mark as i'm not technical

    thanks chaps. The guy has emailed me some more detailed pictures, they do have slight marks on them - but i guess thats expected. I'm going to make him an offer and see how he feels. Shame i missed out on a set of RH wheels like "six appeals"!

    Hmmm, i get your point, i checked them out on the net, Lenso dont seem like a cheap brand... i.e some of their wheels are over £1k. Most start at about £600. I cant really afford to spend too much so i thought these might be worth it!

    17" LENSO DTM ALLOYS AND TYRES (not brand new) These kind of look like the wheels on the MK4 Golf GTI Anniversary model. I've seen these for sale for £400. Are these worth it and does anyone have these on their MK3's ?! ?! ?!

    Hi guys.. and girls. Yesterday "six appeal" kindly recommended another VW site called Edition 38. I'd never heard of this before and it seems perhaps alot of peep haven't either. visit www.edition38.com Its VW forum - but best bit seems to be the classifieds, you can find almost anything and everything.     As i've only just found out Edition 38 is basically another VW forum but with an extensive "for sale" section. You can more or less get anything you want for your dub on there. Really really useful. Check it out: www.edition38.com

    Whats the Militek sound like? I've a standard VR. I love the sound of the engine, i'm going to be adding a BMC induction kit and an exhaust, something that sounds beefy.... hopefully [ Edited Mon Jul 26 2004, 03:30PM ]
