  1. Mine seems fine, had a few vacuum problems at first but all sorted now. 268 cams are now high on my list for next mod though.
  2. There were a few Civic Type R's at Knockhill last night and there really wasnt anything in it between them and me going down the straights. In the corners and under braking though they did seem to have a bit of an edge.
  3. Anyone interested in the expensive Zymol should also consider Swissol, its similar stuff that does at least as good a job but is easier to use. Contact John Wintle if interested. (Hes a clubgti host I think.) http://www.btinternet.com/~john.wintle2/swissol/swissol.html I cant get this link to work right, copy and paste into your browser. [ Edited Wed May 19 2004, 01:31AM ]
  4. Id imagine the galaxy and sharan share coolant hoses but I doubt many of them are the same as the golfs. [ Edited Sun May 02 2004, 05:00PM ]
  5. The Ford part number is 7364573 I picked one up a few months back for £20.06, its from the galaxy which is basically a sharan and uses the vr6 engine.
  6. Also try www.elephant.co.uk they seem to be very cheap just now, for corrados at least.
  7. I should be fittin mine just now, but my feckin brother never got out his bed to answer the door this morning when parcel force came round. Gonnae be Tuesday now before I get whatever they were delivering, hopefully it was the samcos an ill get the schrick tommorow.
  8. 021 133 227 J will be the same as its the gasket from the schrick to the lower manifold. 021 133 073 C is the gasket from the schrick to the throttle body for obd1 corrado vr6's. This will probably be different on obd2 and might even be different on obd1 golfs as the throttle body is a different size, im not completely sure on this one tbh. 9. Still waiting on mine. Got the gaskets for it today though for the total of £10.93 For those that are doing the fitting themselves the part numbers are: 021 133 227 J 021 133 073 C
  10. The weak point in the vr's gearbox are the rivets that hold the final drive gear to the diff. Its possible one of them has detached and thats whats rattling about.
  11. Yeah, diff is about £600, but you also need a bolt kit to replace the rivets that hold the final drive on, a few bearings and a couple of other bits and pieces that bring the parts price to nearer £700. About 8 hours labour, and I got the clutch done at the same time as well so it aint cheap.
  12. The edl only works below something like 20mph and under 3000rpm so it wouldnt be worthwhile trying to disconnect it. It works by applying the brakes to the wheel thats starting to spin, using the abs system. I have the quaife atb fitted and it is fantastic, worth every penny.
  13. 1 from Glasgow here, Corr28VR6, I think I seen your car on the M8 a while back, cant be too many red C's around with that spoiler.
