  1. 1Gav, does your car have the early hot-wire maf? If so, I'm just interested in how ultimatetune are getting round the problem of the extra airflow exceeding the maximum voltage on a standard maf without using an enlarged maf housing.
  2. Don't the small crosshead bolts hold the disk in place?
  3. The zr2 isn't designed to handle more than about 9 psi, that why they made the zr3.
  4. I wouldn't bother with a ZR1 unless its very cheap. It's hardly worth paying
  5. I've read somewhere that a vr6 w/ charger doesn't fit in a mrk1 (suppose the s/c might not clear the chassis rail).
  6. Get some new pipework and the maf relocated whilst your at it then it will run great.
  7. What boost and chip are you running? I don't think anyone has DTA as its v. expensive
  8. I wouldn't worry about it too much if it's not the headgasket and your engine is putting out good power. All vr6 engines seem to suffer from a bit of bore wear on the outer cylinders. I'd perhaps switch to a slightly thicker oil which won't get passed the rings.
  9. You need the obd 2 ecu, maf, wiring loom, throttle body, inlet manifold, key and barrel and probably a few other bits. It's quite a lot of work.
  10. I dont see why anyone would need that. You just take the sump plug out and the old oil flows out.
  11. If you buy the 312 bits from the right sources the cost is about
  12. Look at the narrow hose which feeds the expansion tank to see if water is flowing (this is the feed from the pump)'. If it isnt trickling through, the pump isn' working. Another thing to check is the bottom and top rad hoses. If one is cool when the engine is warm the thermostat might be jammed, preventing water from flowing through the radiator.
  13. plugs into the male connector on one end of the lambda probe.
  14. The schrick vgi and 268s are designed to work together as the cams fill in the hole in the powerband after the vgi switches.
  15. On the left hand side of the pic theres a small pump which circulates water around the cylinder head. These tend to spring leaks over time.
  16. Yes, the goodridge kit for late Golfs (with 288mm brakes) should fit ok. I don't think there is a part no. for the lines I ordered as I bought them form a local hose supplier. I showed them the ends I required, measured the length of my original hose and they sent the infomation to goodridge who made them and sent them back 3 days later. (Could have bought the late golf vr6 set but I've already got goodridge all round and I think the set costs about
  17. The TT hoses are too long. How would you connect the banjo end to the 280mm hoses you have? I've just had some braided hoses made up by goodridge for
  18. Or something a bit thicker like Silkolene 10w/50
  19. Take a look at www.corrado.net for more info. There's a specific section on diagnositics here: www.the-corrado.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7209
