  1. Ive just checked mine as you put the seed of doubt in my mind and all is fine. Mine moves from fully closed to the metal stop a 4K rpm and also by sucking on the vacuum hose. (wipes brow in relief)
  2. Cheers mate. I will go and speak to a mate and see if I can borrow some!!!

25 on the 12th. Had the VR for 5 months now. I work for a precision Enginerering company making small parts for Jets.
  8. Give direct line a go. I pay about £600 fully comp.
  9. If you need any parts manufactured, I manage a full CNC machine shop and could be quite handy for parts. All id need is a drawing and I should be able to manufacture.
  10. Mine does about 24 about town less if I give it some. Motorway is abot 27-31. I did manage to get 45mpg by zeroing the mfa at 80mph and sticking to it for about 10 miles though.

  12. Well done Pete a credit to us all.
  13. K & N filter, makes the car growl, not sure if it has made any difference to the performance & Magnex cat back system.
  14. Ive got the standard gator with a machined nylon collar pulling the gator close to the knob (mine needs adjusting as there is a small gap). The actual knob fixes to the shaft using a 4mm grub screw. I have no problems in making them round but with the flat on gives me a chance to engrave something on the top ie. VR6golf.co.uk, names etc
  15. The weathers a bit better and my cameras finally working. Ive now taken a decent picture (at last). So here it is. Any comments let me know. [ gearknob1.jpg ] [ Edited Sun Feb 01 2004, 10:29AM ]
  16. Im form the South West, Gillingham, Dorset to be exact. Im up for a regional meet!!!
  17. My car came with P6 VRR, pretty cool me thinks!!
  18. Right, Ive had some time to do some calcs and I can make the gear Knobs for £30. delivered. If anyones interested drop me an Email. The design on the top is still at the drawing board stage so if anyone has an thoughts let me know.
  19. Ive taken another photo still no good but it is better. Will get a good one this weekend when I have more time (daylight) [ dsc00012.jpg ]
  20. This one uses a plastic gromit type thing to hold the gator flush to the knob using the original plastic split thing. The knob is attached to the shaft with a single m6 grub screw which is tightened to secure. This way if there is any detail on the flat surface it can be lined up square. Sorry about the un technical wording.
  21. Ive got to do some calculations but it would all depend on material as I can make them in my spare time. What sort of price would people be willing to pay?
