  1. bit of an update: I was at Top Gear the other day getting a silly big exhaust fitted when a burberry capped young lad brought in his Fiesta to 'have me arches done mate' lol - anyway I watched the guy roll his arches with one of those special tools that fixes to the hub etc... Looked spot on when he'd finished - and the best bit £25 per arch I asked him to do mine while I was there but he was chocablock so I'll get them done in the near future. Well impressed as its only 5 miles away hehe

it's bloody good! I am paying £800ish and I'm 28 with full NCB!!!! Elephant wanted over a grand for me last time round and that was before i'd declared modifications. just shows how different companies do better deals for different people . well done mate!
  6. cheers for the tips chaps! Purpline mate, let us know how you get on at ABS in Sheffield, what sort of price is it costing you? Would not be a problem for me as Sheffield's only an hour or so away
  7. on my mates, we fitted a carbon fibre bonnet a couple of weeks back with no jets. He has fitted the washers onto the wiper arms, sounds like a bodge but to be honest it's a pretty impressive job and works well. another plan (which I might do yet) is to fit mk4 golf jets which sit under the back edge of the bonnet, and they also flood the screen with wash fluid instead of 2 poxy jets. good luck
  8. Looks like one of mine. There are a few different finishes available apparently, mine are imported 'ball burnished aluminium' as seen on the mk4 anniversary, and nowhere wants to touch them for a refurb I really shouldn't be allowed BBS wheels the state mine are in
  9. Cult Society ones, they look top, a bit like mk4 ones, or cabrio mirrors. Personally not keen on the m3/dtm style ones you see everywhere but its upto you! Hope that helps
  10. Just had a quote of £240 from Impact in Brighouse to get my arches sorted (all 4) so my 17s will clear with no rubbing. They said they won't roll them as such, but cut them back so they clear the wheels. Is this a good price? Does anyone know anywhere else in the North that does this? I know theres loads of places darn saaf that do it but none up here
  11. i am lowered about 50mm and need my arches rolling really. I run 7.5x17 BBS with 205/40 tyres
  12. me too I looked at about 7 absolute dogs before I bought my current one, which was the 1st one I looked at. btw don't believe anyone on here, MULBERRY is THE colour as it's unique hehehe
  13. Apparently some peugeot's have these located on the wipers' date=' and is an easy mod. Madvr6 has done this and filled in the bonnet holes, all of them! LoOks mean as fcuk with the custom bonnet vents but he still hasn't bothered to put pictures up yet. HINT!!! [/quote'] why not try to fit mk4 jets? They sit under the back edge of the bonnet, and flood the screen as opposed to firing 2 jets. We fitted my mates carbon bonnet the other day and he's probably gonna do this so we'll keep u posted. btw no price break-down but I have around £8k in my car [ Edited Tue Mar 16 2004, 09:45AM ]

    R32 PEDAL KIT

also the R32 pedals are not that grippy.. they look nice mind
  15. and I did the same as you Mike79, I had a mk4 turbo and sold it due to redundancy and got a Highline. It certainly wasn't the worst decision I've ever made, the mk3 is so much better in a lot of ways.
  16. my bonnet sits perfectly ok with the Supersport ones I got - one of them is starting to corrode a bit tho
  17. They won't affect performance but I think they'll be loads stronger than the standard rubber pipework and won't split, which is good
  18. cheers matey, you've had yours done haven't you? I shall check it out on Sunday!
  19. sh*te I knew they weren't cheap but I didn't think it'd need that, I saw K9ANY's motor at a meet a couple of months back and he had very wide CR7 rims on it, with arches rolled at Style Dynamix but they are down south Did you ask Impact how much just to roll the arch lips?
  20. You could try Impact in Brighouse www.impactrepaircentre.com or 01484 381111 I need my arches rolling so I might be having a wander down there soon
  21. same here but I'd do a group buy on the Polo ones, they look infinitely better and loads more upto date than mk3 rears
  22. My mates offered to loan me his new digi vid cam for the day but if someone else is taking one I'll just bring my normal digicam
  23. Dunno exactly how much, but I've got well over £8k in my car Had it for 18months now
  24. I'll get a sticker off you too Pete I'm coming to the meet with 1990 in his mk3
  25. Same sort of thing happened on mine, sorted after I fitted a new battery
