    Now then

nice previous motors mate - welcome to the club
  6. Probably a dry joint on the LCD display - cannot say I've tried to fix one myself, but probably easier to get new clocks with similar mileage on them....
  7. The light doubles up as a brake fluid level indicator light. usually flicking indicates you may need to top up the fluid. If that checks out ok - check the hand-brake switch make sure it is good working order.
  8. vibratechnic are one of the best front mounts you can get, makes a big difference and reduces engine movement when pulling off. Standard mounts are a honey comb style and causes a lot of engine movement - I would not expect any cabin vibration from just a front mount - you would get more of an increased vibration when a rear mount is fitted too. vibratechnic are not a solid mount and allows for small movement... I would 100% keep the front mount. Here's the sales blurb: The Golf front mount reacts a large proportion of the accelaration and overrun torque and has to carry a proportion
  9. So update on the car! Good news is that air filter is on order from US. $35 ordered it via a mate in USA and shipping via him to me. Got the intake pipe back and have to say has been fabricated really well! Welds are amazing and will great under the bonnet! Also had the spacer made. It's good enough considering all I had was a drawing from a mate in the USA. Bolts align and that's all that matters really! Also bought a catch can off Mike on here so that's another item off the list! Next is to mock it all up so can measure what length belt I will need in advance of fitting. Hoping to
  10. Update time!!!! Well I'm back from my trip to Romania and Germany! Drank way too much beer (ever heard of a beer wheel?) had one in Romania. Bad idea. Didn't expect 11 pints!! Germany was mega! Arrived in time for a massive festival of beer and Sausage in Furth! Naturally bought back some goodies! Litre can of beer!
  11. Wow this is a blast from the past! MAF or no MAF that is the question
  12. Honestly can't wait to hear this running
  13. Was it worth 5k? Looked tidy. Wonder what other jobs they did whilst in Eds workshop?
  14. Yeah! I noticed that about the sensors! £3 I wish [emoji106] They must have a decent discount to get those. Handy knowing that company who restored the ABS brain. That roo roof tool is pretty epic too [emoji108]
  15. I did chuckle when he said sunroof was faulty
  16. [emoji23][emoji23] I like it how we drive VR6's and still less polluting than a VW diesel
  17. On right now on discovery channel! Who's watching it?
  18. Looks perfect. Will look into it more once I'm back from Romania and Germany. The intake pipe is taking shape, here is some weld porn [emoji106]
  19. Not much progress at the moment. Waiting for spacer plate to be posted along with my intake pipe. Just need to source an air filter like this in the UK... And also looking for a oil catch can setup. It's all back together now, torqued up etc... Just to give you an idea of the size!
