VR6Pete replied to VR6Pete's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
Not much to report apart from being really ill for last 2 week or so! Made up the MAF wiring extensions now. Will sort that out in a few days once I'm 100% to freeze in my garage! Walbro fuel pump has arrived so will be fitting that in next week or so. Just need order some hose clamps and a belt and ready to rock! -
What's it like now ? We have moved to another server...
-
Sounds good mate! Do you still work for Mars then?
-
Hi mate. Membership system is being upgraded so offline at the moment until complete. Will let everyone know once we are back online. Pete
-
Sure does mate. Running. Vortech V1 I'm installing at the moment. Stage 2. Nearly there now. If I have any issues with fumes I will vent the catch tank under the car. Just don't want any oil deposits dripping venting straight to air without a can.
-
Here's my setup: Later decided fit PCV: I opted for a vented setup: What clamps you running?

Hi Everyone. If you can see this message then you are seeing the website on our new webserver and should see some stability. Part 2 will involve upgrading our entire platform to an updated system, Until this happens club memberships and our online store is not available (sorry!). The reason for this is because we have had to migrate subscriptions from an old system that was causing us some issues to a new system, this will all be upgraded in the near future and the shop and club membership will return. Sorry for any inconvenience guys but I promise you it will be worth it! Cheers P

Hi Everyone. Last night I noticed an issue with the club membership subscription system on the website. Essentially once your club membership has expired the system did not downgrade your account, nor send an email to notify you that the membership had expired! The good thing for you is that you have had access to areas of the website that you shouldn't have had access too - so have that one on us We have now down-graded all affected accounts and you will see that your member title is "Club Membership Expired" If you would like to continue to support the club (we really appreciate a

So. Catch can is all sorted now. Feel like I am making progress. Had it powder coated in gloss black. This is how I'm mounting it to the can. Hooked up the pipe work and mounted it all up tonight. It's turned out pretty well. Just need clamp the hoses up and another job off the list [emoji106] -

Decided to get the filter mounted to the MAF. The diameter of the filter was 76mm, but with some boiling water it went on nicely. Photo below shows scale more clearly. -

I will be running a MAF before the charger. I cheated a bit with the photo as my MAF needs to be further away than 18", so have some flexible tube etc.. on order, so will have it all neatly hidden away behind the wing / bumper, I didn't want a massive filter as most I see have a filter almost on the floor, and when the weather is as good as it in the UK I wanted something further off the ground. I've got the pipework on order from ASH, with a 90 degree reducer (20 > 25mm) and shouldn't look too bad with how I have it planned. I cannot wait to get it going, but worth taking my time and d -

Happy new year! Now that I have money again I'm back on to the build! Had to buy some 90 degree AN fittings and some more hoses, fittings etc.... Also came up with a solution to mount catch can: Clamped it to the metal bracket between 2 metal plates. No messing. Sent can off to get powder coated again as had to file off the bracket on it. Also ordered up the pipe work I need to connect it all up. Air filter arrived today! Pretty good quality and nice small enough not to have to worry about it being too low to the ground once fitted.
