Looking forward to better weather and new year so can get into car event mode! Luckily the kids love the shows and youngest loves messing with my car with me! What do you do with yours ? what is wrong with these ebay turbo kits? for the vr6?
VR6Pete replied to paceo's topic in General Chat
A few people have run them on here and are prone to going wrong. You get what you pay for I'm afraid when it comes to tuning a VR6. Club Chairman -
We do our usual shows throughout the like GTI festival, ultimate dubs, spring festival, inters, Tatton park etc... But just wondering what shows people would like the VR6OC to attend in 2014? Are there any in particular that you would like to support the club by representing the club? Cheers Pete Club Chairman

What's easiest way to free up kW coil overs?
VR6Pete replied to Wazzoo's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
As above. I use chain wax on mine after any adjustments to protect the threads and body. Club Chairman -

Best camber and tracking settings?
VR6Pete replied to ad_coupe's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Sounds like you need a full 4 wheel alignment doing, stealth racing have the full setup and highly recommended. Club Chairman -
Honestly just get USB MP3 player and get a thumb USB stick. Best thing since sliced bread I picked up a sony one for. 25 quid and it's been awesome. Club Chairman

There are a few variants, here are some; think it's missing the 2.8 24v from the 4mo though Club Chairman

Help needed misfiring vr6 obd2
VR6Pete replied to alldav3's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Worth spraying a fine mist of water on your coil pack see if it's arching in the dark, check HT leads and spark plugs, if all ok and still running rough then take a look at MAF / blue temp sensor, vcds / vag-com may shed some more light Club Chairman -
That's a new one on me! I've had it where I've been able send the window up and then it goes down on its own accord. Does it have a factory fitted alarm / imob or an aftermarket? Club Chairman

Mmmm sounds like it's been badly fitted! I had a single wire that had cut as it was fitted so bloody tightly! It controlled the central locking pump which I was having issues with my full closure. I'll try and get the wiring diagram for the concept 300 and you can then see what the brown wire is for. I know that the concept is usually hooked up to the indicators to indicate armed / disarmed so could be something not wired up properly! But sounds suspect just having a random wire there! Clifford Concept 300 Control Unit Location?
VR6Pete replied to Jimmysan's topic in I.C.E, Security an Electrical
I have a PDF document covering the concept 350, should be similar. I'll upload tomorrow as it's on my work laptop. I found mine behind my centre console under the heater controls / stereo area but usually could be anywhere, I had a big bundle if wires under my steering column that wasn't factory looking and traced them back. Your a dab hand with that welder keep up the good work ! Club Chairman -
Another thing to check is that there is a separate wire that runs from the obd2 socket to the ABS ECU. I had an issue on my mk3 where the ECU was not communicating with vag com and it just ended up as the wire had snapped, however as the ECU plug has been unplugged, would suggest that there could be a fault with the unit. As mentioned, you'll need to get your hands on an ECU and ABS pump as they are "matched" so get looking at some breakers Club Chairman

Small vacuum pipe coming out of heater matrix
VR6Pete replied to roosevelt1st's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
I don't envy you buddy. Hopefully it's just something that has come off and that you don't have to strip everything out! There is a good guide on here that covers replacing a heater matrix so should give some good insight on stripping your dash! Might be worth replacing the matrix while your at it to be honest Club Chairman -

Ok, bit more info! we are looking good We can have a max of 10 players per table, naturally people can spectate if they wish while others are playing if there are more than 10 players, and people can join the game as places become available How does that sound? Has everyone signed up etc... (its free) no real money involved in this game though guys so all safe Maybe have it a monthly thing and have a pot of money and 1st, 2nd, 3rd place get a cut of the pot in the new year? What date / time does anyone want to go for? Cheers Pete
