J5KE F 0 Posted October 15, 2011 Author Report Share Posted October 15, 2011 Okay Update time..Day 3 of the conversion and..Spadam met me early doors for toast and tee and a quick discussion on the next angle of attack!Job1. - Connect up front brakes, and engine mounts (using a vibra technics mk2 vr6 mount)Job2. - Remove rear axle, brake lines, handbrake cables, shocks and fuel tank from donor car.Job3. - As above from the mk2.At this point Parky and katie popped in to say hi! (and I reakon Parkie was checkin up on me AND Not a grinder in sight!Job4. - Install fuel tank (as old one was still 1.3 full of Derv.) and replace earth strap to filler.Job5. - Install rear subframe, Shocks, Handbrake cables and brake lines.Then Adam had to go back so I started rewiring fuel tank to fuse boxShortly after Bungy turned up and helped me get the engine in and drive shafts connected up!\So overall a very good day Still need to:1. Extend brake lines by 120mm to rear splitter2. Install and fabricate Tony's old 3" exhaust hangars and down pipe adaptor3. Connect up fuel return line4. Extend tank fuel pump and sensor cable to fuse board end, identify which relay to install and suss out wiring mods5. Modify radiator fan6. Connect engine loom7. Connect water pipes and hoses8. Connect boost hoses and intercooler9. Change fluids and filters.10. Install dash and interior trim11. Cut and shorten seat runners for bucket seats.12. replace drivers door!13. Decide on which front end and fit14. rewire the 'nee naw' lightso theres still loads to do! Link to post Share on other sites
