just trying to think of the best way to "tidy" the wiring, i suppose some heavy duty electrical tape wopuld be a good option then buy some more plastic wire covers....

as mentioned samco i think is a deffinite go. and polished rocker and inlet also.

i got a sweet little idea for the boot of the car.... so gonna try n put that plan into action and see how that plays!

Well see in as I totally fubard up yesterday I thought it needed a fresh look in the bay,

Now my plan is to go semi smooth bay, loose the battery loose the header tank and possibly loose the washer bottle. Not sure yet if I wanna go that far as the intention was just to loose the wires as a flipping hate see in wires in a bay - pet hates n all that!!

So, I ordered some satin sand military paint - hammerite pretty much. And put a coat on to see how it looks.

Now this is a first coat without and wet flatting, I plan on puttin on about 3 coats with a 1500 wet flat between them to try and loose the brush lines.

Anyway. Here.

Will look good against the brown.....

Think see in as I got plenty of time on my hands will probes drop the engine and subbframe out again to clean it up and paint it.

a nice 1.2L washer jet bottle with a 1 way pump, must of been for the mk2 i was going to smooth out the bay, it looks small enough to tuck under the scuttle pannel....

a job to do after i have sorted out why the car wont fire after i have extended the wires!!

bugger!!!!!

well done some more tonight in half an hour,

got the engine ready to come out, all thats left to be done is split the drive shafts away from the gearbox and lift the engine n box out and it's go go go :)

my best mate come over tonight, said that he will plate up my chasis legs for me.... best thing having a best mate as a farmer!!

then it will be cleaning up the engine time and other bits around it and the car can go up the bodyshop to all be sprayed!!

so, cracked on with the rest of it today, got the engine and box out. Put it on a pallet and wrapped some blue tirpolin over it to try and keep it dry etc.

Started to remove bits and pieces, dumped the ABS unit and the loom....

Dumped the old rusty/rotten PAS pipes and then relocated the PAS bottle to drivers side wing, ordered custom PAS braided lines to run along the chasis legs so there hidden,

split my old loom again so i can pull all the wires inside the car and start to get to work on fixing the fubard loom!!

so i got a few snaps to keep y'all happy!!

How we started at 10am :)
