Lot of work going on there....No Garage? That must suck...... especially at this time of year!!!!!!

Yea mate, no garage, just on my street and cracking on, i kinda use my t4's tailgate and a 12ftx18ft blue tiaporlin to try and keep dry....

kinda works LOL

good progress mate :)

Thanks buddy :)

On a different note,

i've had a change of heart on my wheels for the show season....

I'm gonna roll with my genuine BBS RC 041's and get the centre's color coded the same brown and the lips and BBS cap bolts mirror polished with my gold bolts... should set it off a treat....

Whats VR6OC's verdict on my choice?

well I have done a few sets myself now the first thing depending on how bad they are is to get them dipped to strip everything off them and then work back rough sandpaper to start getting finer and finer mate it's a long process but worth it - the other option is to get them chrome powder coated ?

the above option is what im thinking as i bought some cookie cutters that have been powder coated red, and i want them polished but cant afford to get them polished by a company, so its a heat gun and lots of sanding attachments on a drill and then i may get them chromed as i polished one but theres no way i have the focus to do 3 more lol

well, made a trip to a mates hose and hydralic place today, making me up some custom braided stainless steel:

clutch hyralic pipe

PAS pipes from the pump to the rack and from the tank to the rack

brake lines from the master servo to my 2 T pieces and then from there to my front brakes

should be ready in a few weeks.

also pulled the wiring loom into the car and removed it, binned all the ABS wiring, pulled my interior out, well passenger seat and rear seats so i can relocate all my rear brake pipes via a bias valve easier.

thats it for the minute.

all coming alont nicely :)

whilst there i kinda noticed that my ARB and wishbones are pretty corrodied, so i think i may invest in a set of new wishbones and try and tidy up the ARB.

hopefully getting the legs plated up tomorrow :)

but, when it's up the bodyshop having the engine bay sprayed and the front end and other little bits, i think he is gonna machine polish the whole car :)

After reading marks incredible thread over on ED38 i could totally relate to what he was on about by sayin why have a super clean car then things like rusty calipers etc just let it down!!!

so on the hunt i want for some tank straps....

KGrHqEOKjUE5mBp9oBOf1ywY3iw_12.jpg

found some, stainless steel and mirror polished. £46 for all 3, bargin!

then, i also took onboard about what people were sayin about going for the mk4 V6 4 motion rear splitter... again, lookin around and got this genuine VW part for £30. stoked!

KGrHqJhE7QHNnh9BO29Hwfm0w60_12.jpg

so, i think i will leave it it's plastic color to tie in with my VR6 splitter on the front of the car.

Well, it's a good opinion mate, maybe when it's fitted I should get a Photoshop of it colored.... Would help me out haha....

I'm gonna look into getting my arb and drive shafts done in cream like my engine bay and get the subframe and wishbones done in satin black... We shall see
