Mate' date=' just stick in a g60 final drive! So often overlooked, totally changes the car!

Absolutely 110% agree with that.

I've recently had the pleasure of working on a friend's recently aquired Corrado VR6, which just happens to be totally standard bar some coilovers and I couldn't believe how slow it was.

Forget the turbo on mine, this was just pulling away and gettin up to 40-50mph through the gears as normal. It was incredibly lethargic. The G60 final drive really wakes the car up!

I'm not gonna bother with a schrick or other small mods to begin with with my corrado.

my next mod is a g60 final drive, which can be obtained from a G60 gearbox, or new from VW.

It's not a DIY job fitting it, so would have to be fitted at a specialist, but the difference it makes is phnomonal... and really changes the VR6 from being the lazy lump that it is into something very different...

I've got a video on youtube of my VR6 from a near standing start at the 'ring to compare with other VR6's without the G60 final drive

Currently, I'm just running with an induction kit. My project is a very slow one, tooooooo many bills, not enough dosh. got a few bits and pieces waiting to go on, but might just wait, get everything ready and do it all at once!!!!!!!

what other mods were done to your VR?.

Has anyone got an idea of costs for final drives and fitting?
