bazz780 0
hi, i have been noticing a strange happening lately, every time i turn into/out of a street a sudden gush of cold air rushes into the car, it seems like it is coming from near the foot area and circulates to the gear stick bit, any one experienced similar??cheers
Geastb 0
I have a similar thing but it happens when crusing about 60-70 - i can feel and hear air from the passenger side of the car!
jaysVR6 2
I know what you mean mate. Only every now and then. Just leave the foot well heat on. It is bloody cold!!!
VR6Rich 3
And I was thinking I was going mad!!! Seem to get that same coldness around the gear stick area. Do you get the same problem if you have recirculation on?
bell 0
could be you inner arch lining letting air through as your turnin or you could have air coming through one of the rubber bungs in the bulkhead commen if you have an install;)
andy 0
I had exactly the same thing in my golf and now have exactly the same thing in my corrado, when I turn a corner a cool breeze blows across the gearstick area, no idea where it comes from at all, was only thinking about it earlier today. Spooky

bazz780 0
blooming hell, what a popular mystery lol
Bampson 0
Could be if you have removed or moved the heat sheld that runs over the exhaust. that covers up the gear stick, so air could go from under the car into it .. maybe ??
VR6Rich 3
I recon its to do with the vents that are closed when the recirculation button is pressed, hence my question above. :-) Not sure where the vents are at the front.
