Ben Seabrook 4
actually think Jim might have done the throttle body but fairly sure we didn't do the isv - what did you use to clean it ?
supadupagt4 0
What do you use to clean them out with?
spindat45 0
Carburettor/injector cleaner will do the job nicely. Spray on and use an old cloth to aggitate and wipe away the depoits. Repeat until all surfaces are clean. if yo do the throttle body make sure both sides of the butterfly are clean. Pay particular attention to the top and bottom of the housing where the butterfly sits when it's closed.
cabrioman 6
as above lol
cabrioman 6
rite another quick up date im now dumping my braded fuel lines as the main feed line to the injector rail blew off on the M1 while pushing a 335i lol .... and the stalling and cutting out is still happening and have noticed is over fueling big time ..... black smoke the lot
cabrioman 6
re torqued the head down went to 95 ftlb .. hope that stops the oil leak ... have removed the fpr as was unable to adjust the fuel pressure so back to normal now, still black smoking at times, no idle and cutting out and surging on long runs, have made double sure there are no air leaks ... next step is to change the two coolant temp sensors and the plugs
Ben Seabrook 4
good luck mate hope you get it all sorted soon
