And to get a bit more power and get into the low 13s next year ...The list :-1. Rebuild the engine with 2.9 bottom end (y) , head spacer (y) , 12 psi pullie (y) , 263 cams, and arp head bolts (y) , fix boost leaks (y) , sort out wiring loom (y) .... hopefully see about 300-320 bhp !!2. Stripp and rebuild gear box with LSD. (y) 3. Replace rear axle bushes with poly (y) , fitt uprated anti roll bar (yn) , fitt rear strut barce. (yn) 4. Replace front wishbone bushes (y) anti roll bar bushes and drop links with poly ones (y) , uprate front aint roll bar (yn) , 5. Recon steering rack as top seal leaking (y) ,6. Replace all brake lines (y) , fitt audi tt 312 mm front brakes (y) replace rear discs and pads. (y) 7. Relocate gauges and radio (y) , remove boot build (save weight) (y) sort out heated seats.8. Remove letter box (axle box) slincer from exhaust.9. Maybe some new rims or replace the two buggered ones and powerd coat them white ... gota work out best size for track and drag racing... (y) 10. Sort out body work. few got quite a bit to be gettin on with ... watch out for pics and progress reports and a few how to`s ... Link to post Share on other sites

cabrioman 6 Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 7, 2009 just spent the last few days strippin the engine and found this !!!sump quite dented and oil pump pushed up a bit lol .... bugger white circle big dent and red one there oil pump was sitting lol wots left of the oil scraper rings on numbers 1 and 3 pistons ... that be the smoke problem found then !!also got some new stuff some very sexy and very light pullies ... mmmm cheers clarkiesome new ARP head studs and main studs .... once again cheers clarkie loland a rear brace thanks santa Link to post Share on other sites
