ive got a 6 branch, no cat, a custom exhaust , with a ramair.

im going for 190bhp and 170 nmt.

My guess: 186 horses and 237 torques

237 foot pounds of torque?!!! I don't think so some how, mines only producing 257 with a charger! You'll never produce more torque than BHP.

I reckon your figures aren't far off Jim.

The standard manifold i was told by my exhaust centre is a restrictor, the 6 branchers and full systems will give a big difference in performance.

Depending on what bore size the rest of the system is running i'd say:

On a 2 and a half inch bore 185bhp and 180lb

On a 2 and three quarter inch bore 195bhp and 186lb.

The branch manifold will bring ur torque levels up to near enough ur horse level

So yes Jays with a N/A, Super or turbo car you can have the torque allot more.

right got back from my local rr.

the result was

199.7 bhp .............................

im very happy, i had said at the time that a good engine should make around 190-195 those mods..

think it twas 151 at the wheels , we had 47/48 bhp loss through the transmission, but this is consitant with other vw 's i have had rolling roaded.

20 quid for a power run.. t and m autoelectrical in colchester was the place, ask for ray, tell him james/jamie with the golf/nissan sent you

Thats a great result mate - What was the torque level??

Plus can we see a pic of the graph as it would be nice to see the areas where the power is comin from :-)

What milelage has your car done ? I think I remember it being quite high ? Only proves that the more miles they do the better they perform :-)

Good result but the rr down there is a bit ancient and lo tech isnt it?... Not doubting the figures but Id recommend Engine Advantages in Witham if you ever need anything more than a power run

thanks all, yes the rr is a bit old but i think they are correct.. not sure of torque figures , and ill post a pic of the graph when i get a mo.

btw, mileage is 160,000 and counting.

i may take it to engine advantages in witham, as it would be nice to see another roads figures

engine advantages do anything, alot of ford stuff, nissan and a few others id guess, they have a good rep among many of the car clubs

My mate took his Skyline for a power run last week at Engine Advantages, cost him £50 - their mapping sessions are quite reasonable
